Hahaha. Right. I saw some of the posts here about 2019 LSU and 2020 and for fun asked it that. I also asked it to list the best teams in history and this is what it said:

quote:

The title of the "greatest college football team in American history" is often debated among fans, analysts, and historians, as it depends on the criteria used (e.g., undefeated seasons, dominance over opponents, strength of schedule, number of NFL players produced, or cultural impact). However, several teams are frequently mentioned in these discussions:

### Contenders for Greatest College Football Team:
1. **1971 Nebraska Cornhuskers**
- Record: 13-0
- Achievements: National Champions, dominant victories including a 35-31 win over Oklahoma in the "Game of the Century."
- Average margin of victory: Over 30 points per game.

2. **1995 Nebraska Cornhuskers**
- Record: 12-0
- Achievements: Considered one of the most dominant teams, winning the national championship and beating Florida 62-24 in the Fiesta Bowl.
- Average margin of victory: 38 points.

3. **2001 Miami Hurricanes**
- Record: 12-0
- Achievements: National Champions, overwhelming talent (17 first-round NFL Draft picks over multiple years).
- Key players: Ed Reed, Andre Johnson, Clinton Portis, and Sean Taylor.

4. **2019 LSU Tigers**
- Record: 15-0
- Achievements: National Champions, considered one of the most prolific offenses in history, led by Heisman winner Joe Burrow.
- Defeated seven top-10 teams during the season.

5. **1945 Army Black Knights**
- Record: 9-0
- Achievements: National Champions during World War II era, featuring Heisman winners Doc Blanchard and Glenn Davis.
- Dominated competition with an average of 56 points per game.

6. **1972 USC Trojans**
- Record: 12-0
- Achievements: National Champions, known for a balanced and dominant team.
- Defeated five ranked teams.

7. **2004 USC Trojans**
- Record: 13-0
- Achievements: National Champions (though later vacated by NCAA), featuring Heisman winner Matt Leinart and Reggie Bush.
- Dominated the competition, including a 55-19 win over Oklahoma in the BCS Championship.

### Honorable Mentions:
- 1988 Notre Dame Fighting Irish
- 1994 Penn State Nittany Lions
- 2013 Florida State Seminoles
- 2020 Alabama Crimson Tide (15-0 during a pandemic-shortened season, arguably one of the most dominant offenses ever).

While fans from different schools will have their own opinions, teams like the 1995 Nebraska Cornhuskers and 2001 Miami Hurricanes often appear at the top of most rankings for their dominance and talent.

I believe your post history would demonstrate that you showed an instant fondness of 95 Nebraska…..obviously it happened riiiiight after Lsu destroyed:

Uga
Ou
Clemson

Interesting, that timing is.

It's funny how wrong you are. This discussion has been going on for a long time. It was usually about 2001 Miami and 1995 Nebraska, but since they aren't SEC teams nobody here gave a shite.

If Florida hadn't gotten blown out so badly, maybe they could have been in the discussion and you wouldn't have waited until 2019 to have it. They didn't just barely win games like 2019, the closest ANYONE came to Florida in 1995 was 11 points. They blew everyone out, set SEC records that still stand today and won the Heisman with Wuerffel.

Until they played Nebraska in the bowl game(thanks to the bowl alliance) and Nebraska blew them out 62-24. Florida had a better season than 2019 LSU until then.

The closest anyone came to beating Nebraska was 14 points, in a trap game.

I spent quite a bit of time in Lincoln Nebraska during the 1995 season to visit this girl who went there. It's not "history" to me, I remember it.

95 Nebraska is without a doubt the GOAT.

Funny. Never really heard this from Alabama fans until, Joe Burrow and the 15-0 tigers destroyed the CFP after going undefeated in the SEC (toughest conference ever, in football). Over TWENTY nfl players on that roster beat:
Trevor Lawrence
Jalen hurts
Tua T
Jake Fromm
Etc.

Only after 2019, You’re the hardlegger in chief for the big8 team that beat four ranked teams …..wonder why.

*I will give you Brian Kavanaugh at KSU. He was a good quarterback. My brother played football with him.

Because you never fricking asked about it. Do people talk about Michigan or Nebraska here and the 97 split title? Do you want to because that's another I'll pick Nebraska for. I can't imagine why a SEC focused forum doesn't talk about these things.

You had a shitty defense and you only beat teams by 3, 5 and 7.

And of course you post that shitty graphic where you pretend a team that finished the season unranked in one of the polls and 25th in the other was a top10 team.

And you back it up with a bunch of individual awards that mostly didn't even exist until recently when ESPN decided to make an awards show rather than what happened on the field.

If LSU had such a strong claim you wouldn't need to make a graphic with a bunch of bullshite on it.

LSU 2019 is the greatest season in college football history you fricking loser. Something like that you don't quit talking about because some commie bum on a LSU message board got upset.

We still talk about Nebraska and Miami too. That’s what happens when have an all time season.

Georgia has certainly had a nice little run.

But you and I both know that every one of your championship teams would get fricking dog walked by 2019 LSU.

Georgia couldn't win a NC in your lifetime until they started paying players to attend their school.

LSU has more football NC's than Georgia the last 44 years

LSU has 7 more baseball NC's than Georgia the last 34 years

LSU has 2 more final fours in mens basketball than Georgia the last 39 years

This is pathetic.

It’s like; “hey! You have legitimate proof and you are not allowed to post it here!”

It proves what happened.

LSU went 15-0.
Won its conference championship.
Obliterated the CFP.

Deal with it hunny.
Name the generational teams and players that your newfound love beat.

Eta.

I ran ten simulations here:

LINK

LSU AWAY
BAMA HOME
but set to a neutral field

Bama won 6 simulations, LSU won 4. Most of the simulated games were very close, although LSU had one blowout win. Overall, about even I'd say. If I ran it ten more times, it might be the exact opposite.

Try running your own simulations. The stats returned can be quite interesting.

The only part of the graphic that is relevant to the football season is the schedule and it lies about it.

Such as pretending 8-5 Texas with Tom Herman was a top10 team. They were #25 in the AP and UR in the coaches. And you only beat them by 7.

Awards mean shite. Wuerffel won the Heisman in 1995. He was the one that got blown out by Nebraska.

You can't be the GOAT when you barely beat teams by 3, 5 and 7 because your defense is shite.

No, it was also 1995 Nebraska when the debate was between them and 2001 Miami. The best part about this discussion is I no longer have to hear all the stupid fricking arguments about Miami anymore because of what their players did in the NFL rather than on the field as a team.

LSU fans need to cling on to 2019 as the GOAT because you're all stuck trying to compare your dicks to Alabama and you know a NC alone doesn't measure up. So you have to exaggerate the accomplishment so you can say "Oh we have something over Alabama".

And with you in particular, you need to believe that the Alabama fanbase is somehow butthurt about your stupid claims for pointing out the truth. So now you must pretend like nobody ever had the discussion before LSU.

It's one the worst cases of tiny dick syndrome I've ever seen.

Alabama hasn't won a NC since 2017 and the program is on the downhill. They will always strive to past up the greatest season of all time in 2019 LSU and will never come close. It's bad enough they haven't won a NC in 8 years

What are you talking about? Bama won in 2020. You can't just discard that season. It happened. In fact, in many ways, it was probably a more difficult season than any since the 2001 season. I do not understand this line of reasoning. I guarantee you that if your team won it all in 2020 you'd sign a totally different tune.
