Im pretty sure the 2012 & 2013 Bridge Schedule were due to many being dissatisfied with the conference game rotation and no compromises being found in time to create a permenant schedule

The official word from Ala...err,I mean the SEC office was: the bridge schedules of 2012 and 13 had NOTHING to do with previous "rotations" nor would the inception of a "permanent" rotation beginning in 2014.
Basically, they "worked" around existing team OOC schedules and "incorporated" A&M/Mizzou. So, what you could get in 2014, is an entirely new type of "rotation" with bama vs. TN/Vandy and LSU/SC.....INCREDIBLE logic over there in B'ham !!
