It makes no sense. Dlineman are short and stocky to get leverage because low man wins. Olineman are tall to have long arms to keep dlineman's hands off of them. I guess it does affect passing lanes.

Oregon's 3 deep:

Stetzon Bair 6'9"
Arik Armstead 6'8"
DeForest Buckner 6'7"
Taylor Hart 6'6"
Cody Carriger 6'6"
Christian French 6'5"
Jared Ebert 6'5"
Ricky Heimuli 6'4"
Sam Kamp 6'4"
Alex Balducci 6'4"
Tony Washington 6'3"
Wade Keliikipi 6'3"

They wanted height.

Now, just height by itself will not work if they don't have the strenght and the talent, have to be the whole package. I think McCullers have that.

Some NFL scouts agree!!!

Only 3 are bigger than 6-6. That's not many off a 3 deep

6 of those are drop ends OLB hybrids or nose guards. They went for the length on the outside.

I've seen the fap thread. Of course, they will make the excuse that our defense played well because Worley was throwing to Caucasian walk-ons.

There will not be excuses, we will win

AND the biggest surprise will be our defense, not our offense.

I could see it for disrupting passing lanes against teams that just 3 step drop and the ball is out.

Yea but Taylor was a DE. Tall DEs are much more common than tall DTs.

You do realize Tenn lost EVERY playmaker on offense, right?

Oregon went to a 2 gap 3-4 defense. They want long arms on the DLINE to keep offensive lineman at bay for linebackers and shuck blocks to play both gaps.

I think McCullers fit a 3-4 better.

Can you say with 100% certainty that we will not have any one stepping up to take that place?

I can say with 100% certainty that your new wr won't be near as talented as the ones you lost and your qb won't be as talented either.

I am not joking, we have plenty of talent, it just has not been tested yet, they are young and unexperienced but I am confident this new staff will bring the best out of them.

If I am wrong, I'll just party a little more with my friend Jack Daniels.
