Well any given Saturday, all that- yadi yada yada.

Although, people called us crazy being excited about Auburn last year. I won't be too much of a jerk but I would not put money on Georgia getting better than 9 wins regular season.

I think a lot of yall are holding out too much hope for both IC and Jenkins to completely transform you. But who knows.

I did what I could to beat the shite out of myself for everyone's enjoyment. Had some real demons to overcome, but I found TD and am better for it now

Well thanks to Herschel now I am gonna bookmark this. Not that he has staying power, but its nice to have proof of UGA's perennial optimism.

At least the Tech side of me knows when things are going downhill (pre-season last year, this coming year's gonna stink).

Honestly, I think both will be factors (mostly Jenkins), but I attribute going 11-1 more to an improved defensive unit as a whole and Murray having full reign to run what needs to be run. The thing that will really change the game, though, is if we see more Wildcat formations with Nick Marshall and Branden Smith. Could be the extra dimension we need to win games. Don't get me wrong, I think IC will need to come in and be at least solid, but I'm not hinging our success on him

I'll admit I didn't know the schedule is that easy. That being said, I don't see 11-1.

Ok we have two UGA takers on them going 11-1. Anyone else?

WG at least understands that it takes everything coming together perfectly as expected to have a season like yall are talking about.

If 2010 Auburn taught us anything, every team has potential. But I never put too much emphasis on a kid who's done nothing but play high school ball, which is what yall are doing with IC.

I don't put all my faith in them until at least week 4 or so.

The key for the Dogs this year is the favorable schedule and season opening "BIG GAME". If Georgia plays SEC football against Boise State they win this one and they're off to the races.

TGHerschel and who else? Tyler? I've said multiple times I'm NOT predicting us to go 11-1.

Good! As will I, and will bump it after that last game in November when we beat tech's arse.

Why not, because I'm new? I'd be willing to bet I'm here longer than all these new arkansas posters that everyone keeps ripping into.

FTR I'm not so high on this year because of IC. It's predominantly because of the defense and the schedule in my eyes.

Just curious, just because I think you could dig it up quicker than I could, but what's Richt's home/away % split (in conference)? Has Sanford been a huge in-conference home-field advantage?

I ask because I might remember there being a decent stretch where against Auburn or someone else it seemed like the away team won every year.

The only weakness on our entire team was the secondary. Yes, it's a big weakness, but the entire offense, and front 7 of the defense played very well.

Didn't say we would go 11-1, just said that if we did it would be for the reasons stated

As far as overall SEC record I'm far too lazy to look that up. I do know from 01 to 05 he only lost 2 SEC games on the road and both were to the eventual national champs. We won 18 straight home games early on but to answer your question, no, Sanford statistically hasn't helped us all that much recently.

Yep. Starting in 91 I believe the away team won/tied in the series every year until 2000. The the home teams won a few, then we won 4 in a row.

Well I can attribute Auburn running the table and defending the title to a list of hypothetical reasons, couldn't I?

In the spirit of the thread, with the ups and downs of a college football season, what's your legit prediction give or take one regular season win?
