It's definitely on the list. Let's just consider a top 10 list. Name me more than 10 teams that have had all the accolades this team has had and I might agree, but you won't be able to. The only team to have as many All Americans as us lost the NC game.

Your not even Saban's best team. Maybe next year.

Depends on your definition of "list". Top 10, maybe, but absolutely not what the OP claims.

1995 Huskers

They destroyed everyone they played.

Your running game carried you all year. Your QB is middle of the pack in the SEC and your defense set you up with great field position throughout the year.

So? Every National Championship team that I can think of was either carried on the shoulders of a great QB, or of a great RB. The last team that was carried by both was 2005 USC - and they lost in the National Championship game. How is our offense being carried by a great RB any different than Texas, Florida, Oklahoma, USC, Ohio State, or Miami being carried by great quarterbacks and having a lackluster running game?

His only undefeated one. I'd say it's his best.

I'm not saying they are the best ever. They aren't. But they are among the top teams ever based on what they have accomplished. That's all I'm saying.

THAT you are dead wrong about. Oh, and that's YOU'RE not "your."

I don't see where he said it was THE best. Just one of the best and a point could be made to this.

Similar to the LSU NC team, defense was great. Offense... average overall. Quarterback below average.

Congrats on the win though. Nice to see the SEC continue to dominate.

I agree with this. It's Saban's best team to date.

Saban may field his best team in the next couple of years.

OK, I'll go with that. However, the best Bama team to date, barely made SI's Top 10. I doubt this team will jump to the top tier......

I think this team will be in a position that time will be much kinder to them when they're looked back upon. Being only the 3rd team to go 14-0, along with all the awards that they won this year will, I think be treated well with history.

Based on that list, the only team I'd have in front of this year's Alabama team is 1995 Nebraska. The second best team on that list (also Nebraska) played only 12 games, and escaped with a 4 point win in the conference championship game.

I am sorry......maybe we will just have to agree to disagree. No way are you in the discussion of best team ever after your performance Thursday night. You let a team playing with a true Freshman QB get back in the game and have a chance to tie/win. You have the best defensive player in the nation IMO, but MI isn't even the best running back on your team so your Heisman arguement doesn't fly with me.

Plus this years team won the NC by a margin of 16 points.

I see a home loss in there. "In the toughest place to play in America."
