Did you come to that conclusion when you were 6 was it in Middle School?

Because of the scores? If 2001 Miami was actually motivated to play a football game they could play with ANYONE.

You missed Hunter's post:

The 1995 Huskers also averaged a victory margin of more than 38 points, the largest of any Division 1-A team since World War II, despite regularly resting their starters in the second halves of games. Averaging more than 53 points per game (including the bowl win)

You only think this because you are basing your definition of "talent" off of NFL performance. In terms of raw talent, Lawrence Phillips and Tommy Frazier were probably better than anyone on the 2001 Miami team. Phillips was just a crazy frick up and Frazier was an option QB though.

I took it to the MSB.. should get a definitive answer there.

I've seen every 1995 Nebraska game. I still have the whole 1995 season on VHS, i still watch it from time to time because i loved that team.

You can't honestly tell me that McElroy is better than Campbell was as a senior. Give me a break.
No, but there is certainly not enough of a difference to give 2004 Auburn an edge "because of their QB".

Clearly you have no appreciation of just how good Phillips and Frazier were if you think these guys are substantially better. Once again NFL success =/= talent.

Santa is trying to get you to understand the college game is not the NFL. You have to base your comparisons within a like arena

But does NFL success not show who is truly the best player?
player a wins a heisman in college and fails in the NFL and player b is a 6th round pick and ends up winning superbowls ala tom brady who is the better player?

I said their offense was better because of their superior passing game, which is fact.
And Bama's defense isn't that much better (if at all) than Auburn's that year. Both teams were first in the nation, giving up 11 points per game. Auburn gave up just 25-30 more yards per game.

You really don't understand the game, do you? NCAA and NFL are two different games....apples vs oranges

And bigtime refs who coach in pro sports are not like local YMCA refs. Apples and oranges there too.

I made good on my word.

One of the best ever?
They were occasionally dominant, but barely got by an average Auburn team, would've lost to Tennessee if Tennessee had a decent kicker, and had a dubious win over LSU that had at least as much to do with officiating as anything else. The title game was going to come down to a drive by Texas before the fumble, and that was with a true freshman QB with no experience and no expectation of playing leading UT's offense back into the game.
There are many teams that went undefeated and didn't even get a scare. Bama isn't one of those. Very good team, but not even remotely one of the best ever.
