Factoid: Bo only went 2 and 2 against a BAMA team coached by Ray Perkins. And almost didn't do that. That was Pat Dye, Mr. Conservative. Made Kirby Smart look like the original rebel without a cause.

I went to the Tangerine Bowl following that game. Auburn with freshman Jackson against Boston College with some sophomore QB wearing a weird number. Wonder what ever happened to that guy?

All kidding aside, that was a great game. Jackson went wild and we had a great time. My dad was an Auburn grad (played in the marching band) and got free tickets from one of his customers. Plus the guy threw in Disney tickets and a bunch of A-E ride tickets (old timers will know about those). Fun early Christmas vacation for a 12 year old.

For some reason, my go-to mental image of Auburn during that era is Randy Campbell pitching out toss sweeps to Bo or Little Train with his loose jersey all flopping around, and how he could make that ball flip through the air just perfectly.

I can still picture it.

I went to that game. First CF game I ever attended where they sold beer. I thought it was a great addition and would catch on at every stadium soon.

I wonder why the SEC has been so hesitant to allow this?

Plenty of other schools do (and obviously the NFL), and I can't recall any obvious issues coming out of it.

I was there. Pretty sure that was the last time the Iron Bowl was split 50/50 on tickets.

A questionable pass interference penalty against Jeremiah Castille who intercepted the ball or Bo over the top never happens.
