but those damn sure werent first rounders you posted.

Your question was and I quote “How many WRs had bama had drafted before then?” You said nothing about first round.

By the way, Newsome was a first rounder and Hutson would have been if there was a draft in his day.

thats it? Pretty slim pickins considering you had the Bear.

Bear dominated college football for a decade plus with his variation of the wishbone. But, assuming you already knew that & just wanted to troll the board.

So one? Just one? Weak sauce.

Glad Auburn is buying up 5 star WRs like bama did so we can start our own list of 1st rounders

Why not when all his games were 20 miles from his house. Ole man would not leave the confines of Legion Field.

Except when he took his team to Los Angeles to play and get revenge on USC in 1971 and went undefeated. Played them and won out there again in ‘77. Went to Nebraska, Washington, Miami, Houston, Clemson, Blacksburg VA, Notre Dame…played Ga Tech in Atlanta even after they left the SEC. Not to mention Knoxville, Baton Rouge, Jackson, MS, Nashville, Athens…

Besides, tickets to Legion Field were split 50-50. I’d argue it’s harder to ride a bus for 45 minutes than playing across the street in your own stadium. Both teams in the Iron Bowl had to do it.

The man travelled everywhere with police escorts. I have attended many Iron Bowls in Birmingham not to mention T-town and Auburn. Don’t waste effort googling a response. The lower bowl was split but the upper deck was all crimson.

“Pat Sullivan was HEAVILY recruited by Coach Jordan and Bear Bryant. The August prior to his senior year Pat was invited by Coach Jordan to dinner and then to attend the exhibition game between Chiefs and Cowboys which he accepted. Shortly after accepting he was invited by PBB to dinner and the game. He declined since accepting Coach Jordan's invitation. During the drive to Legion Field the car carrying Coach Jordan and Pat burst a radiator hose, so the driver let them out to walk the remaining few blocks to the stadium among thousands of other attendees. While walking along the sidewalk many police cars with sirens blaring led a car with motorcycle escort down the street beside them headed toward the stadium. Pat asked Coach Jordan who that person was. To that Coach Jordan replied that was Bear Bryant headed to the game. He then added, "Pat, you can ride with Coach Bryant or walk with me". So Pat tells his friends that he decided to "walk with Coach Shug Jordan". And Auburn had its first Heisman winner.”

beat the shite out of Auburn, 35-7

That was a rather odd outcome for LSU that year, as the Tigers struggled every other night. We were flattened by Bama and pulled it out somehow vs an average Ole Miss team.

Auburn was no match for LSU, for some reason. Long live Binks Miciotto and Mark Yokubaitis
