Great question and great responses....truly.

A few things. We certainly do respect LSU. So much so many aggies now consider LSU their rival above Texas.

As far as which teams do aggies respect? Teams that can beat us in the present day. We don’t respect teams that don’t prove it today on the field. We respect recent scoreboard.

So that’s Bama. To some degree LSU and a few other SEC west teams. Texas no, because we beat Texas the year prior to us leaving. OU, the last time we played it really wasn’t close.

We look at recent patterns, because that is what statistically trends derive from. So if Texas comes into the SEC and wins all their games and beats us like a stepchild. Yes, we will respect you. When OU beat us 77-0 during the Fran years we respected that then. We changed our coach because of it. Then when we destroyed OU, that respect has died a bit. But OU has been doing very well as of late.

In short, we respect teams that are better than us today.

And LSU guy, that does include you. Teams that can’t beat Kansas, that doesn’t include you. OU we certainly respect you. Because recently you’re killing it.

Texas guy. We respect on the field results when looking at other teams. When rooting for ours, they are family so it’s different.

They had SIX first round picks and two more in the second round. It's not normal what's happening in Tuscaloosa. Never happened before until this past decade.

And I'm old enough to remember Derrick Thomas and Bobby Humphrey, my favorite NFL player as a rookie.
