Don't see the SEC getting any of the ACC teams for reasons already stated. I believe that they will go after teams from smaller conference buyouts but with tremendous upside. A program like UCF (which is already competitive) would become VERY relevant in just a few years under the SEC brand. Southern Miss, South Florida, etc...

Another poster already mentioned the roomate switch proposal and I think that is a very viable option for the SEC to stay at 14 teams indefinitely.
I would tinker with the website's divisions but find their premise excellent and love the idea of being able to rotate through the entire conference (home and away series) within only four years. Plus, it doesn't even require you to play more 8 conference games per year to work - by comparison a 9 games schedule for two divisions offers no advantages for the conference and some disadvantages for the conference and individual teams (with respect to income, bowls, and fairness).

I say we kick out the Mississippi schools, Methzou, Faggies, Vanderbilt, and Kentucky and add four Notre Dames and four Texas.
South: ND, ND, ND, ND
Souther: Texas, Texas, Arkansas, Texas
Southier: UGA, UF, USCe, Tennessee
Southiest: Bama, Auburn, LSU, Texas
EDIT: Everyone is everyone's permanent cross rival. All 16 teams will be crowned National Champions every year. The Big Ten will fall into the Earth and burn for being filthy, Yankee scum.

Virginia Tech is dying.
Virginia would be the better choice in the long run.

I like your divisional allocation of teams. But how many times must it be said that the ACC is not going to break up because of the recently executed "Grant of Rights"!!!!!!!

Alabama would want Tennessee in their division.

Geez.
The point of this thread is to discuss the 4-division format, not expansion into the ACC. Feel free to substitute Florida State and Virginia Tech with any other two teams of your choice. I do think expansion in the east would allow for better symmetry, but whatever.
Like it or not. If the SEC were ever to expand to 16 teams, it would only be practical to have 4 divisions of 4 instead of 2 divisions of 8.
Second, teams in the "murderer's row" divisions would take solace in the fact that their other 5 SEC games would come from the easier divisions. And while the cupcake divisions would have a beneficial schedule, they would have to schedule 5 SEC teams from the tougher divisions.
