The '24 class is ranked 12th right now which would be great if we were in a different conference but is just ok in the SEC. We need to get classes to at 6-7, imo.
That said, Heupel's offense can function well even with lower rated guys as long as we fill the positions. Right now we have major holes at DB, WR, TE, and depth probs on OL. We're hitting the portal to try and fix some of it.
The defense has improved a lot but still needs talent in the back. When we finally had a DB improve and do really well he was immediately injured. None of our current guys are quite good enough talent wise at DB though. They're high snap depth type players rather than starters. We need talent back there.

I think I counted last year that 43 players left, entered the portal, or went to the draft.
They said they didn't need them after going 4-7 last year.
I'll be sure to keep a running tab on these 12 as of 12/6/23.
