Still wild to me that only 11 votes are needed to do this

I'll go with the 12 votes to fire Stankey.

2/3 to expel
3/4 to fire commissioner.
Wonder who came up with those numbers?

You all will be thanking LSU very shortly.

If the SEC gets this passed, there will come a time when another school has a minor infraction and gets threatened the same way.
Its ridiculous. Even if it were another SEC school in this position I would be firmly against it. Much less a founding member. Like how stupid do you have to be?

The SEC has had this power for 93 years. They could have done this to any school at any point they wanted if that was true.
Even if LSU doesn't get kicked out, the ability still remains.
Because it turns out they don't just do it for random reasons.

Why not both?
Actually, I don't want to see LSU gone, but it would at least be entertaining to see all the rationalization. Probably on the same level as all the Texas fans in 2011 that were saying "we would never go to the SEC".
The one thing that LSU fans are missing on badly is there is no such thing as any kind of protection for a "founding member". If a super conference were to be born tomorrow and it only had 40 teams, this would be made blatantly clear. The "founding member" stuff is only a fan thing.

Probably the same position that is currently trying to consolidate SEC authority in Birmingham…

It would be even sadder to rationalize kicking out a founding member for players they didn't even roster. And y'all aggies cry about mean old Texas breaking up conferences.

LSU doesn't even have a minor infraction. It's a threat based on feelings, not infractions. That's what makes this entire thing even more ridiculous

I don't expect any special protection for LSU as a charter member. I do expect special protection from the other members going full retard.

Well, Florida wanted Kiffin and Ole Miss had Kiffen so they are out.
Alabama and Auburn would probably piss on your grave if given the opportunity.
I don't really think expulsion is in the cards though. I think the SEC wants that as a viable threat.

That's fair. I'd do the same.
