Has anyone ever told you that you are the worst poster on the board?

Baseball is a different animal. You can lose in the tournament and still recover because double elimination is a thing.
Basketball all it takes is one bad night.

I would be pleasantly surprised if Auburn won the tournament because the overall number one seed curse lives on despite Auburn's special team. The corrupt system lives on again.

It's one against the field. It's math, not a curse.

is this your way of telling us you're rooting for Auburn?

Baseball is far more evenly matched than any other sport. The “great” hitters have batting averages that are only about 8% higher than the “bad hitters.” The “best” teams in the MLB only win about 25% more games than the “worst” teams in the MLB.
As a result, the best team wins the championship in baseball less often than in any other sport. Even with the 7 game series in the MLB, 85 win teams beat 100 win teams all the time. And it’s even more extreme with the two and dones in the College World Series.
You can hardly relate it to something like basketball, where the better team wins much more often.

If I'm betting Florida is the team to beat in the tourney. Playing outstanding basketball right now. I'll be surprised if they don't win it all.
