Alabama- 15-0

I was just debating a friend, so I thought I’d ask the best bunch of college football historians that I know.
Has Alabama ever gone 15-0? I remember them going 13-0 during the Covid year but don’t recall any unbeaten seasons besides that since the CFB started.

I finally read Rig’s nomination thread. I am not a frequent visitor to the site, so I just got caught up.
Did I have doubts that Kirby would ever beat Nick Saban? Absolutely. Look at past performance. I am glad we stopped playing zone coverage and went back with man to man, especially when JW went down.
Do I think we have managed the QB room well the past six seasons? No, but I am hopeful that we will have better luck in the future.

Really wanted 15-0. This team was very capable of doing that.

I saw some $400 upper level seats available on secondary ticket markets. In 2018, it was $1600 for nosebleeds at the Benz. Flights are insane out if Birmingham or Atlanta as expected.
College Football Playoff

I believe this is the 9th edition of the playoffs. We have had 3 SEC schools appear in playoffs. All three have one playoff games. Two have one titles. What school will be be next to make a playoff game? I am guessing A&M. They seem to be pulling in the most talent.
It is too soon to tell with the other big 6 schools.

Are you guys starting to get excited about being in the Playoffs?
I will be honest, my expectations are super low. We could beat Michigan. We are built to stop teams like them, but they may just want it more.
If we get past Michigan, I think we are still a 7 to 10 point under dog to BAMA.
After the break, some of our guys may be focused on getting ready for the combine and Senior bowl stuff. I just don’t think they feel that they can beat Alabama. I am certain our coaching staff has doubts after dropping the game five times in a row.
Top assistants also have their minds on their next jobs at this point.
It is what it is.

It is cool to make the playoffs, and I do think we are one of the four best teams this season.
I am truthfully not convinced that Alabama is better than UGA. I saw way too many Alabama games to convince me they are something special. We lost yesterday because of coaching, plain and simple. Kirby Smart can recruit as good as Nick Saban, but he isn’t half as good a coach.
Coaches should play the best players on their roster. They shouldn’t play guys that have heart but are far less talented.
Kirby has completely screwed up the QB position since he has been at UGA. Fromm wasn’t better than Eason or Fields. Bennet isn’t better than Daniels. We may beat Michigan, but Kirby doesn’t have it In him to beat Saban. He says your either either Elite or your not, right? He needs to figure out how to take the next step. At this point, it is quite unlikely.
He is stubborn as hell and refuses to make adjustments. I don’t think we can even beat Michigan with his poor game planning and lack of adjustments. He had Charleston Southern and Georgia Tech before BAMA. They had two real teams to play and still came in much more prepared than we were.
I don’t think he wants any part of a rematch.

Congrats on that! You guys have a helluva team this year. I know there are many people in your state that identify with the team and tie their mental health on the team’s performance. Alabama is truly one of our country’s greatest states. Alabama also leads the country in many other things besides football.

Which SEC school makes the College Football Playoff next besides the two schools that have already made it?
Also, what year?
I think is Auburn, but it will take at least two more seasons. I think next year Auburn has to rebuild their O line and not sure their RBs will be where they were last yeat. DLine and WRs will be good.
If Stidham is back in 2019, it would be interesting because they get UGA and BAMA at home.

I am seriously envious of what Saban has built. You guys really have it firing on all cylinders. I thought the timing of the QB change was a great decision. It looks like both of our programs gave bright futures. I am sure we will meet several more times over the next few years.

Have you guys ever noticed when we and BAMA have better football seasons than them, they suddenly care about their basketball program. Go look at the Rant. You would think they are Kentucky with as many damn threads as they have going.
Please don’t let the trolls post on the Georgia Sports Board. For the most part, we have good posters here. I know Thomas Brown started the post on the help board, and that dude is a troll. We shouldn’t let Zeus Stamos in either.
