Chatter for the last month on SECR was that Bama made this happen. Im not sure why.

Paul Bryant, Jr. is the force behind killing off the UAB program. UAB had a verbal agreement with Jimbo Fisher before he went to FSU. Fisher agreed to take the HC position and promised to stay a minimum of 3 years to build he program. Bryant nixed the deal because he felt it might pull players and money from Bama. He has fought any improvement in the UAB football program.

Good,what's the freakin point of these D1 programs like
UAB,Ga State,Buffalo etc?

I highly doubt any of them make money IF they do it's because
of their sacrificial lamb status on big 5 schools schedules.None
of these schools have a prayer of getting into a big 5
conference.

What exactly is their end game? Do the students at these
schools even GAS about their programs?
