The Purgatory Football League - **Ammended**

**The name of the Pick Em has been changed to distance itself from any other Pick Em**
**The criteria for eligibility has been amended. Entrance to the Purgatory Football League is now open to the first 32 to submit their Intent of Participation ... There is no requirement to have been eliminated from any other Pick Em contest whatsoever. The thread to post your Intent of Participation will be up at 6:P00 PM today. Thank you**
**I will NOT be a participant. I see that as a conflict of interest, as I will be running the Contest. And that will be my ONLY involvement in the Purgatory Football League**
Now, to the specifics. The Purgatory Football League will be open to the first 32 participants to declare their Intent of Participation.
When the 32 participants have made known their Intent of Participation, they will then be divided into 4 conferences of 8 members each. Over the next 9 weeks, each participant will play 7 conference head to head match-ups, and 2 out of conference match-ups. The members who have the best record within their respective conferences, will be declared Conference Champions, and then advance to a 4 member play-off to determine the Overall Champion.
The format for the weekly match-ups will be a straight "Pick the Winner" deal. Each week participants will be presented with a list of weekly CFB games ... they will pick the winner in each game. It's rather simple ... pick the winner ... score points ... out score your opponent ... win the match-up.
Each match-up will consist of 10 weekly college football games and 1 tie breaker question. Participants will pick the winner of each game, and answer the tie breaker question. Each correct pick will be worth 4 points, for a total maximum of 40 points per match-up. The tie breaker question will be worth 3 points. There will be only 1 tie breaker used per match-up ... if there is still a tie after the tie breaker is applied, the winner of the match-up will be determined by coin toss.
The participant in EACH conference who posts the best conference record will be crowned Champion of their respective conference. In the event of a tie, the overall record including OOC match-ups will be used to determine the Champion. If still tied after the overall records are applied ... Champion will be determined by ... you guessed it ... a coin toss. I'm fairly positive that it will never come to this measure.
OOC records will be used to determine Conference seeding in the Playoffs. The Conference with the best overall record against OOC opponents will be Seed 1, next best record Seed 2, and so forth.
The Playoffs will take place during the Week of CFB's Conference Championship games. The 4 Conference Championships to be used are ... The SECCG, ACCCG, B10CG, and PAC12CG. Each correct pick in each CG will be worth 10 points, for a maximum total of 40 points.
The 2 winners of the Conference Playoffs will advanced to the Purgatory Football League Championship. The Championship will use the Bowl Games to determine the Overall Champion.

Let me begin by saying that I attempted several times to discuss the following announcement with Jefferson, but for some reason ... he was not interested.
Yep. Definitely not interested.

This has already been attempted. I respectfully pulled my game when Jefferson didn't go for it. You should do the same.

I wasn't asking for your participation per se ... the only reason I wanted to discuss this with you in private was out of respect for you and the Hunger Games. I did not want it to cause some damn BS controversy. I felt like I needed to discuss this with you in private, to ensure you had no problem with it, that is how much respect I have for you and The Hunger Games. There are two members on this board that can testify to the fact that was my intention. The reason I said, "but for some reason ... he was not interested. " was not that I was soliciting your participation and you were not interested in doing so, but that merely you had no interest in even finding out what I wanted to discuss with you ... much like the previous attempt to discuss something with you in private about the Hunger Games that would have been of MUCH interest to everyone that was involved in the Games. You felt no need to discuss that matter with me, and you lost that opportunity ... and you know what I'm talking about ... as does 1 other member on this board.
But all this is a moot point now ... we move forward.

In other words, we rollin'.

Unbelievable.......
Say whatever you want, but If you had any respect for me or The Games, you wouldn't be ripping them off and trying to piggyback on the work I've done and bitching about how i do things all the time.
The fact that you make it seem like I've done something wrong by not sending you, a perfect stranger, an email every time you demand it just makes this even more awkward and disappointing.
Thanks a lot pal!

You care to explain exactly how I'm ripping them off? Total different format. Now, the only thing that can even remotely be considered attached to the Hunger Games, is the way the eligibility for The Purgatory Games is participants had to be eliminated from the Hunger Games or from those that went undrafted during the Team phase. If that's what you mean ... then I can absolutely change that criteria. And piggybacking? Really? Is that all you got? And the last statement in that block is so totally absurd, I care not to even address it.

How is asking you TWICE ... TWICE to email me concerning a private matter I'd like to discuss with you ... demanding? You had no problem asking me to e-mail you once before about a private matter you wanted to discuss .... you remember that deal?
But it's okay Jeff ... I got no problem with you whatsoever. You on the other hand ... not so much.
