There's a big show at George's coming up this month, featuring these two popular local acts. Little Chief and Goose both have strong followings and its a guaranteed sell out.

What local bands are you listening to? I love the folk/jam that seems to have dominated the past couple of years here:

Little Chief

Goose

The third band on the Little Chief bill at George's is Tossing Copper.

There are some very good folk acts in Fayetteville right now.

I haven't heard of those. But I'll see what I can find. I'm not much of a hard rock guy.

ETA: For the record, I don't know anybody directly associated (or indirectly) with any of those bands I posted. I just think they are good. There are plenty of bands I don't think are good who are from Fayetteville.

I'm not either, these bands are pretty good if you like that sort of thing though. They play at the phoenix pretty regularly and occasionally stolen glass, if you went to ryleighs on halloween they were the band playing there.

Those are Little Rock bands.

Don't Stop Please started as a Conway band, but I think they have actually relocated to Fayetteville.

Ok....

There's a guy originally from Fort Smith in Little Chief, and a girl originally from Dallas.

Feel free to start a thread to discuss the central Arkansas music scene.

all the bands Cauley posted play in fayetteville all the time. guess i mistook this as a music discussion thread and not another NWA circle jerk.

Keith Nicholson Trio.. they play in Cway a lot but are from NWA. You just don't hear of many 3 piece bands these days and these guys nail it.

Also heard a bluegrass band called Foley's Van recently. Think they're either fort smith or NWA as well.

well then you should work on your reading comprehension because the thread is clearly labeled.

also I wanted to add

Mr. Blue trio - or something like that, they aren't bad.

The University is in Fayetteville. Little Rock bands can drive up here to play if they want to.
