Correct one fricking million percent. It's not because all of the talent we take are busts, or because Muffins has an innate ability to find diamonds in the rough.

IT IS COACHING, OR LACK THEREOF.

To be honest those cotton bowl teams were probably more talented....they had a lot of guys who became starters in the league and multiple Pro Bowlers. As well, Jevan Snead had a first round grade before he partied and drank his talent away.

Its not the scheme if your LB is playing the run and let's his assignment run free. Its the player. You can blame the coaches but I'm certain Denzel will tell you he hasn't been coached on his keys and that he just didn't execute.

I'll be happy but only because I expected us to lose every game after Meemphis.

I would be happy with 9-3 overall and 6-2 in the SEC. Strangely, if LSU beats Arkansas Saturday(likely)giving Arky its third SEC loss, and State beats Alabama (not likely, but could happen)giving Bama its second SEC loss, we'll be in control of our destiny in the West again. We would be in position to give LSU their second conference loss and we would play State with a chance to give them their third conference loss. We would own the tiebreaker over the other 2 loss teams (Bama and LSU). Grasping at straws, I know. But it's not impossible. Bama is only a 6 pt. favorite over State.

Plus the small chance that MSU still has of winning the west, they'll still be playing Bama tough.

State will play bama tough but we all know bama will find a way to win in the end.

Just to clarify... do you mean has been coached?

I think some people could argue RN was the same player as a frosh as he is this year.

don't get me wrong- RN is a beast- but why is it that he can't make a tackle in the backfield? he perpetually over pursues and misses out on the TFL

You are sooo right. He just can't make a tackle in the backfield. It's the darnedest thing. I look up and there he is and poof nothing happens. Maybe I'm too critical.
