We are two years removed from a 2-10 year. Everyone wants microwave success. That isn't how it works. We don't have the depth yet. Its getting better but we aren't there yet. A seven win season isn't what we want, but depth wise it may be overachieving. Just think we lost three DE's and had to put LBs at DE. That in no way is great depth.

This argument baffles me. We were in position to win this game. Its not like we are pissed because we were coming from behind and couldn't quite take, we were leading with just over 3 minutes and then tied at the 3:07 mark with the ball. We shite the bed and couldn't do anything with it. Our Defense should have never been put in a position to lose that game, because our Offensive unit should have iced it. We called 3 so-so plays and took no time off the clock which caused us to lose.

If we at least run the ball there we force them to take some timeouts, and with the way we had been running the ball in the second half we probably ice the clock and either have a chance to win with a last second field goal or at least go to OT (who knows what happens here).

I called for 6-7 wins before the year started and even though a win or 2 has come from unexpected places we are still on that path. Im not mad with how the team overall played or even that we lost. But Im very upset that people keep bringing up your argument like we shouldn't have been in that game anyway so we are ok. Its bullshite. We were in that game with the final in our hands and couldn't do anything about it because our best unit on the field (WR) failed. Plain and simple.

I respectfully disagree.

Its easy to look back and say we should have ran. If we run two plays and aTm calls timeout and gets the ball back and does the exact thing, then you guys would be arguing that we should have threw the ball and played to win. The play was called that was the right play to get a first down and continue the drive. Our WR dropped the ball.

We all are frustrated that we lost. The view that you have is the view that gets a coach like Hugh Freeze fired. Now I'm not saying anyone is calling for his head. But, when you have expectations that are too high you generally get disappointed when they aren't met. This team isn't there. News flash it takes better players to finish these types of games. At the end we had John Youngblood and Cliff Coleman on the field. We had a 6' 235lb who had no choice but to play DE in Temario Strong.(A third string LB at that)

The freaking defending Heisman winner set his team up to win. I tip my hat to that. Our team played 60 full minutes. Going back and being upset with calls and plays is pointless.

Based solely off of talent we shouldn't have been in the game. Period.

Yep, I addressed this already. These guys should have never been in that position to lose. Our Offense, you know the ones that aren't all injured, were the ones that failed. The Defense did an admirable job with what they had to work with. The Offense should be angry at themselves.

Its also easy for the coaches to know what has been working and what hasn't been working in the game so far. Running was working. These types of pass plays were not working a lot of the time and the A&M defense was set up for the pass. They weren't even rushing anyone really, just dropping everyone back. I can understand going for a pass on 1 down, but after seeing how the A&M Defense was setting up, Freeze failed the team and kept trying to do the same shite plays against a Defense that was setup to stop that.

Sadly all this didn't even matter because our best players didn't make the plays when they had the opportunity. The WR crew really let this team down and has been for the last few games with all the dropped passes. That's concentration and for some reason our boys are sucking at it. Im not talking about the passes that Bo isn't making, over or underthrowing, I mean the ones that hit them in the hands and there have been way to many, especially the last 2 games.

The aggy's defense was tired and we should have run Mathers on the last series. He was still fresh. Heck, Bo could have gotten us 4 yards.

If the aggy's burn a time out, so much the better.

Once again its easy to look back now and say what should have been done. If we run the ball the first two plays and only get two or three yards you guys would be having this same argument. Why didn't we throw the ball.

There is NOTHING to blame Freeze for. He called a play that worked. Our guys just didn't execute. The Heisman Trophy winner got on the field and did what Heisman Trophy winners do.

None of us have any idea of what the outcome would have been if we ran the ball. The same way we don't know what would have happen had JaMes caught the pass.

I totally agree! Why not run the ball and try and take time off the clock? Just insane!
