The bread is authentic. Best Po-Boy in Mississippi IMO.

Good, very good. I prefer Sal & Phil's; but, have never heard of Saltine. Sounds like worth a try.

I have a new restaurant in Jax for y'all to try: Lou's Full Serve.

It's in the old Basil's in the McDade's Plaza on Fortification Street. Good quality, with interesting twists and relatively inexpensive (all their entree's are under $30.00). The desserts are made in house, to include their ice creams, and are large portions.

Looked at the menu, and it looks like they have some good stuff. I'll have to try it out when I move to Jackson next month.

Hope you like Mediterranean cuisine.

You're gonna be eating a lot of Keifer's.

Keifer's is on down State St away from "The U" (plus it really isn't that good). If you like Mediterranean you just walk across Lakeland and go to Aladdin's.

Ahh yes, it tis Mid-summer! The time of the year that the temperature goes up along with the humidity. The season when UMMC is invaded by a fresh batch of wide eyed "short coats" along with first year residents. All determined to put their stamp on the medical world. The 1st year residents are harder to pick out of the pack but the "short coats" flock together, like a herd of antelopes, as the "senior residents" along with the RN's with idealations of being "Mrs. Dr So-And-So" all try to nonchalantly pick out the "prize pieces" of fresh meat. Thus the reason it is often referred to as "hunting season" at The U.

Edit: It is also the time when the general public should pray they won't need to go to an academic institution because the "fresh meat" residents are getting their "trail by fire". So until they are more seasoned (say late September or October) they are more prone to make "errors".

Haha this is one reason I'm glad I found soon to be mrs.olemiss5931 while I was in undergrad. I know it's real when she is willing to go through med school and residency with me.

Very nice haha.

Mrs Reb and I just had our hospital tour today. She is 33 weeks along today. Hanging out in the labor/delivery room today then seeing little ones in the nursery made it all that much more real today.
