I think since we are lacking the obvious at linebacker we will need to compensate in another way. I think to Freeze's first year. Put some mad speed at that position to where those LBs will meet the RB at the line or behind the line. Gang tackle mentality. Speed kills.

He publicly apologized for it. Called Freeze and told him that's not how he meant it.

This is why I'm not melting (that, and the fact the guys we signed today plus our early enrollees on D will be pretty good). We have put a fine defense on the field with less talent. Other than Mike Marry - who was awesome but probably couldn't outrun our punter - we didn't have a linebacker in '12 who was taller than Danny Devito.

I think we'll be fine on D.

And amazing on offense.

This cheating thing is only going to get worse. Finebaum show won't stop until the season starts.

Next year and 2017 our Dline and Secondary will be early strong and deep. LB will be ok if we stay healthy so we will see. 2017 we have to focus hard on LB and Dline. If the coaches can hit those spots in 2017 class we will be great on D.

It is awesome, just hate that we left 4 defensive schollis in the chamber. I'm sure of of the less heralded commits will turn out to be heavy contributors. And they better.

Freeze said we had up to 31 scholarships available. That means we can count 6 of our EEs back to last year. If I'm calculating right, that would means we only gave out 18 scholarships for this years class, and so next year can sign up to 7 EEs.

Am I doing that right?

Hopefully 4 LBs and 3 CBs.

We already have Bowie committed at WR. He's probably another Muffin sleeper cell, but we should put some WR's on the books for '17.
