The entire league is open next year. Bama's elite years are done.

Just because they lose 2 games doesn't mean they're not elite

I hope recruits still want to play in the mighty SEC

It's not the number. Another NC not playing out for them just now again is huge. Huge for SEC, huge for CFB.

Edit: by all means Bama is still elite don't get me wrong. They're a great team. But we have a great team coming back as well. We just need to make some major adjustments with where were at in the path - offensive line/scheme has just not been working out at all obviously. Need major tuning there. A decent, not amazing QB, is needed.

Too bad we won't have an OL worth a shite to compete.

Without a consistent quarterback and improved offensive line play, we won't come close to winning it. Arkansas, believe it or not, is my favorite to win the West next year.

Okay I got ahead of myself Bama is still going to be pretty damned good but I just think of USC and the way a lot of these 'runs' go (Miami, Nebraska). Seems the Saban train is losing steam in some ways but then they've got the whole "what's Kiffin going to do with the offense" thing. Regardless, I see the most level playing field in the SEC in years and years. No one team is head and shoulders above the rest at this time.

Except Vandy... Poor Vandy right now.

Bama would have won tonight if they would have followed Saban's traditional game plan instead of kiffin's lunatic calls

35 pts should be enough to win. Defense cost Bama the game, and a pick six.

Yeah, Arkansas could lose their three best defensive players. Their offense will maintain status quo, but that defense will not be as a good. They are still rebuilding, as are we. Nutt massacred our roster, and two good recruiting classes won't fully heal that scar.

That excuse expired when Freeze reupped for a bunch of money. We aren't paying for excuses.

I agree... Freeze said his goal at SEC Media Days was to be in every game with a chance to win it in the 4th... We lost to Arkansas and TCU by a combined score of 72-3.

It was still a successful season and we accomplished a lot of things that we hadnt in our lifetimes but those kinds of losses need to be few and far between when you're making the $ our staff is.

Our D will carry us next season and we can easily be 6-2 at worst after 8 games... 7-1 would be awesome... And I'm on team Kincade BTW... Kid has paid his dues the last 2 seasons and he has a live arm... Hopefully he or Ryan Buc make the most of this opportunity.

Not an excuse. Just a fact. I don't think he can rely on it after this season, because he will have his guys for the most part. Some of us are irrational when it comes to the reality of the circumstance.

I think you are just new here. We all realized when Freeze got here that the roster situation was abysmal. That was three years ago now. We return 9 starters on offense and 6-7 on defense depending on how you look at Bennett. He's also one of the highest paid coaches in football now with the assistant pay to boot. Reality is that it is time to earn that check. 30 point losses are unacceptable now. That's as rational as is gets.

You are more than correct in that aspect.
