Y'all 2015 season depends a lot on the QB position. That could potentially make or break y'alls season.

Agreed - kinda just need to get lucky and hopefully someone can emerge and succeed (ala Nick Marshall @ Barn).
However, our QB might not have to beast mode because there should be a fair amount of legit talent around him.

It is why I hate taking DL from JUCO. They never pan out for us.
It seems like they tend to do much better their second year. Uriah Grant and Gilbert Pena are two good examples. Wayne Dorsey wasn't doing too badly before his season ending injury. Hopefully Hooks can just provide some meaningful snaps here and there.
It's surprising that the depth chart goes three deep at LG and C, but not at DT or NT, where there are warm bodies that could fit there (Hooks, H. Moore).

So you predicted Engram to be this awesome or Channing to suck so bad?
Seems likely, douche.
Jesus dude. Chill.

Yes actually... It's buried in the old recruiting thread somewhere but it's there... I was told he was too small and needed to bulk.

Answer the last question about the Nose Guard...

Bandwagoner.

RK is a freak athlete... He is a big arse penetrator. He's an outlier so not really subject to this. 4-3 plays to calling strong side which will flip your line
Regardless, Gross is a penetrator. To the SEC and your SO

He'd be an undersized 3-4 end. He's playing freaking Nose Guard. We need a space eater at the position, not a 250 pounder
Do you know more about our team or defense than Kiffin or Wommack? We could put in Hooks, Woody, or Herb if we wanted that "space eater". Gross is the most disruptive DT in the damn league when healthy.

Well yea. Its the only position on the entire field that we dont get better at. 2015 teams with 2014 schedule would have me out of control.

So all of your "schooling" me about the Nose Guard responsibilities was complete trash that you made up. Good to know that, "you really don't understand the role of a Nose Guard in a 4-3 defense".
And Robert is just about prototypical size for an UT. He would be a "big arse" DE, not DT.

Your space eaters gravitate more to 3-4 DT
There are no DT's in a 3-4. You have 2 ends and a nose.

A nose tackle's job, in most circumstances, is disruption.
Wrong again, a nose tackle's job is to clog holes and allow the Linebackers to make plays.
You show your inexperience you bandwagon bitch.

None of them are as talented as Gross. Gross is just out of position. Like I said, he's overrated on this board. People think he should be all SEC, he shouldn't.
I can think of 2 more disruptive DT's off the top of my head. Montravious Adams and Chris Jones.

Yea you just named two players who had worse freshman stats than Gross. They are certainly better players, but no one comes off the ball quicker and with better technique than Issac Gross.

Freshman Denzel was better than sophomore Bird. Last year Denzel was hurt. I think both players are about the same, with Denzel being a little more of a problem off the field. Senior Denzel is at the worst as good as senior Sederious.
Prewitt is our worst open field tackler out of safeties. He's also the worst in pass coverage. Our secondary is vastly superior next year.

you clearly dont understand schemes at all do you. A NT in a 4-3 is lined up on the weak side. Somewhere you need quickness. a 3-4 only has NT, yes you're correct I typed that wrong. A 3-4 NT job isnt disruption, its run clogging, like you think. In a 4-3, a NT isnt the base set, so the roles are different by design
And being a student here doesn't exactly qualify me as a bandwagoner you moronic alter

Id tend to disagree with you on both of those points.
Byrd and Denzel would, at least, be on the same level. I dont know stats to back that up, but thats how Id tend to think about it
Prewitt may be lacking in the open field tackling, Ill give you that. He may not be as great on Man to Man coverage, I wouldnt say worst, but for sake of argument Ill give you that. The reason I say I disagree would be because his stats do not lie. You do not put up numbers like that being the worst in pass coverage unless hes just lucky as shite.

So, Gross is heavily undersized, played as a true freshman undersized, was a freshman All-American DT although being undersized, and is "overrated."
Got it.

Disagreed. Two different players. Denzel, once available, and Byrd will be playing next to each other and will terrorize.

I disagree. I think Donkey Kong is the greatest game ever.
