We moved in this week. I've missed the South SO much.

Great people, warm weather, and plenty of green.

We bought in Batesville and got an awesome deal on a 3700 Sq ft house, plus 4 car garage, pool, hot tub, 5 acres and a 2 acre stocked bass pond.

We only have 6 other houses in our community and everyone has been awesome.

Neighbors cut our grass, weed eated, and weeded flower beds; brought us dinner + dessert as a welcome ... awesome folks.

Buying in Oxford is closer, but the surrounding communities offer a lot more for the money and we're still within 25 min from campus.

Shameless bump.

Tomorrow I'll be checking the ticket situation on StubHub.

It's probably not a terrible thing for Oxford to cool its tits on residential development for a second. There's been so much development this decade, and the town needs to catch up. A few different Rebels I've talked to tonight have already brought up how happy they are they didn't pull the trigger on something during the spring. Should be an awesome buyer's market if the families of recent students from like Texas and Georgia and stuff cut bait on the condos they thought would rise with Freeze's stock. So much has been built up since 2010

I lived in Batesville for 12 years. Left 3 years ago for the Coast. I have to say it was easy living. People
were pretty friendly and made a lot of friends. You
won't get the property appreciation as you would in Lafayette county, but the prices reflect this. Just needs to be 10 miles closer to the Square.
