Does anyone on here own property in Oxford and rent though Air BnB? I may go this route for the spring semester but would really like to hear some experiences.

I had a friend rent out his condo on big football weekends. He would just stay with other friends or me for the weekend. Not sure if he used air Bnb. Not sure on Oxfords Air Bnb rules or taxes, but if I was back there in college, I’d turn an empty room into a hostel type air Bnb. Maybe put two bunk beds in there, charge a relatively cheap rate, and you could make a lot of money. I know a lot of Air Bnb host around Colorado who are making a killing through air Bnb. If you stay and host, you’ll meet a lot of people from all over, and Itd be hot pad for away fan college kids on those big weekends.

If you’re in a good location you can make bank. Some people are starting to do it year round instead of renting out year long leases. Less damage and can make more money.

My neighbors rented out their house for the Texas game in 2012. They rented a dumpy (I mean that literally) 2 bedroom house for $1000. Their rent was only $650/month.

They then just crashed with us. We didn’t get anything out of that deal
