Everyone is missing the key thing here. Juice is a Wildrose Kennels dog. No way he sports a UF or LSU bandana. Man’s Best Friend.

Nothing would surprise me at this point.

I think kiffin wants to take the job at Florida or LSU but also doesn't want to leave a team that's going in the playoffs and miss a chance to win a championship.

I think if we were not a playoff team he'd already be gone.

If he says and we don't win he regrets not taking the other job, if he leaves he has to think "what if?" Forever

The question is - would he intentionally sabotage us at this point and intentionally miss the playoff to save face for leaving after the Egg Bowl?

I don't know what the answer is to that question. I'm starting to think he may be a psychopath. What would a psychopath do?

Y'all are frickin' nuts.

Read my thread about not believing everything you see on the internet during this time and step away from the computer for a while.

You're under the impression that he'll be gone:
https://www.secrant.com/rant/display.aspx?sp=121352229&s=2&p=121328768#121352229
Why would he not try to save face and pull a stunt like that instead of having the whole "abandoned a team during a playoff run" narrative follow him around for the rest of his career?

I'm not lashing out but dude, he completely trashed Tennessee on the way out. He absolutely screwed them with their recruits. He did not leave nicely, so in my mind, if he thinks he isn't going to get to coach in the playoffs anyway, he may try to save face by losing the Egg Bowl so that there are no playoffs for us. Then he can leave and make the claim that you just can't win a title at Ole Miss.

It's a conflict of interest, plain and simple.

i think he's trying to string everyone along long enough to find out how we do in the egg bowl. If we lose to State he knows a championship is out the window and will confirm to him that we arent the caliber program that he wants to be at

It's a conflict of interest IF you believe everything you've read on the internet about him leaving.

But, in reality, Lane is coaching this team just as hard as he always does. We can't force him to stay in '26. But he is under contract now for this season, and he will honor that deal. He just may not be here next year.

If we were focused, we could beat the ever living shite out of them. All we have to do is give the ball to Lacy and it's game over. Our d-line should be able to eat them alive.

They've given up more sacks than anyone else in this conference.

Absolutely this. So many things people have taken and run with only for it to come out as fake news.

There is only one thing we know….and that is that he just hasn’t outright said “I will not be coaching any other team than Ole Miss.”

Imagine he's playing 5D chess and stringing both schools along long enough to screw up their hire
