And last night’s win all with our best hitter (Olenek) having his second hitless game after the long streak ended.

I hope Mac has a good outing today

If he can avoid the walks, I think he'll have a decent day - as always, the ump needs to be consistent with the corner calls.

I like this team up and down the roster. There is definitely some good coaching going on. After the Arkansas series, Dillard had struck out 31 times in 29 games. Since then he has only whiffed 12 times in the last 22 games. Plus, he's hit at .325 in those 22 while he was at .308 in the first 29. 16 of 18 in SB attempts and only hit into 3 DP's. 0 errors recorded as well. He's been great for us. Along with a bunch of others.

I haven’t paid attention, but has anyone looked to see who all that’s starting now in the lineup will be back next year?

We will probably lose a few pitchers to the draft. Could even lose all 3 starters if McArthur is drafted in a decent round. Olenek and Fortes have a higher chance at leaving than staying.

Yea Olenek is just off right now. I’m not really concerned about him in the long run because I believe he’s good enough to bounce back.

I would hate to lose all 3 starters but won’t blame them for chasing their dreams. Hopefully if we do, some of the freshman can step up next year after learning from these guys. Coaching has been pretty great, except for base running miscues. We have harped on that all year. There’s no telling how many runs we have run ourselves out of. It has to be cleaned up.

Let’s hope we can give Mac some run support today keeping the bats hot, and finally get a sweep. Even if we don’t, taking 2/3 from Auburn is huge. Hopefully Mac can stay relaxed and trust the defense and I think we will be ok. He doesn’t need to go into the game feeling pressured to make every pitch perfect. Just trust his teammates.

Good thing our bullpen is fresh because it looks like McArthur won't go very far today.

My girlfriend's family hails from Auburn - her brother told me that if you get past Mize and can knock their starters a bit, they won't stand a chance.

Based upon this game, I think he was right.

We definitely needed to sweep one of these last 2 series, and I didn't think it would be against Auburn. Great weekend though. Gotta take care of business this week. Don't wanna have a 2-2 or worse week.

Sweet to get an SEC sweep against a top RPI team. I wish we were closing out against anybody other than Bama - not much to gain and a ton to lose.

Oh well, no crying in baseball.

Wish I could buy Ethridge a beer and a Freeze special. :)

It was a great sweep. Happy I could be in Ox to see our only home sweep of the year, even if I missed Thursday

Looking through the Clarion Ledger All-State Baseball First and Second Teams today. 28 or 29 players listed, several MSU signees and commits, a few out of state and JUCOs and just one lone Ole Miss guy. Do we just not need players or something or are they all coming from out-of-state? A bit bothersome to say the least.

I really hope we don't let up on recruiting. Just look what Keenan did for us this year.

Ginn will go pro.

We have fingers crossed that Gray makes it to campus.
