I love Jeff, but Walton will be the better back in the long run.
Jeff still tries to get to the edge too often. Walton will hit the middle and move the pile.
And Walton is more dangerous as a receiver, IMO.

You're right. Walton and Jeff are the exact same size but Walton has the right mindset that a back needs to be successful between the tackles (see LSU game). Jeff, while he has the ability, will never succeed running up the gut consistently. They are both electric in space but Walton is the much greater receiving threat. And Mathers is the perfect other half to Walton.

Seems like every time we talk Jeff down he comes out with a big game so I doubt he ever has a meaningful carry again
