Not likely.

If he runs a 4.7 he might me a late first round pick.

If he runs a 4.5 he might be a top 3 pick..

I'm thinking 4.7 is more of a possibility than a 4.5.

I agree with that completely. But 40 times aren't important on those guys either. I think you agree as well. The 5-10-5 is much more important. That's why dex is still in the league. He accelerates and deaccelerates so fast he's able to sustain the speed of the NFL game.

Fortunately, Treadwell doesn't have Dexs problem. Treadwell will be an outstanding NFL receiver (barring injury of course). Just watch tape. It shows you everything you need to see.

I personally think in about 4 years,Ole Miss fans are going to be pissed off thinking why didn't we target him 18-20 times a game??? Dude should have touched the ball at least 15 times. Single covered, safety over the top, whatever. Should've just thrown it to him.

And yes, been a fan for a looong time. I've got a man-crush on Treadwell

I've said all along that he was wasted for two years.

Were those the two years where he was averaging 8 catches a game?

Sure.. He should've averaged double that. Since he didn't, we wasted those years.

He averaged 5.4 rpg in his first two years compared to 6.3 this year. I'm more talking about how the catches came about rather than his # of catches/targets. Perhaps it would be better to say he wasted two years having Bo Wallace as his QB.

I didn't mean that to be that 'negative' sounding. Treadwell has done great things and we've done great things with him. I'm just saying that the dude is so good, we should've doubled his touches.

I think about Julio Jones. He was 'really good' in college but really wasn't targeted that much due to playing at Bama but sverybody knew he was good. 2 years later in the NFL, Atlanta made him the go-to guy and holy shite, nobody knew he was that good.

I think that will be Treadwell.

I get what you're saying, but I don't think Treadwell is Julio.

One of those years, we had another starting NFL WR on the other side. Both those years, we had the most reliant WR hands in OM history(Sanders) and Bo at QB.

Dude needs to run and do well, the chatter about his work ethic since he left OM and him changing agents isn't doing him any favors. Really thought he would buckle down and pop out a decent 40 to offset the talk.

On the other hand, running very poorly is probably more likely to move him out of the first round than not running at all, maybe a good risk to take.

I haven't heard/read a single bad word about his work ethic. It's been the opposite actually with him coming off the injury last year. Where'd you see that?

They have chatted about it on SECN a little, then Booger was talking about it on H2H yesterday. Supposedly he got slower because his work ethic/attitude has been bad over the last few months. Then ended up swapping agents and training camps. Talked like his 40 time would be a pivotal thing because it either quiets the talk or gives it more weight.

Just what he was relaying, not sure how big of a deal it is. Seems really bizarre because it's completely contrary to anything else I've ever read/heard about him.

Yeah you search "Laquon Treadwell work ethic" and you see all of the NFL scouting sites speak highly about one specific thing: his work ethic.

Negatives I'm reading are about his route tree and speed.
