Vanderbilt is 28th in total defense. They have 4 players to our 3 on that list. They are just more technically sound which is my qualm with McGriff. Two years of no improvement from a technical standpoint.

McGriff’s defense is not built on technical skills, it’s built on pure talent. We have very little of that, so our defense sucks.
I wish I could find the post from when he was hired where I said this was going to be a problem. I think I even called him Tyrone Nix 2 back then.
Get him off of the sideline now and plug someone in who can coach a defense.
