They won't release your transcript if you have unpaid parking tickets.
I unfortunately needed a transcript.
I pretty much told the Dean of Students that the $100 I had to pay for my parking ticket was the last $100 I would give to the school.
Stuck it to the man reeeeaaaaal hard.

Something tells me they got tired of people giving passes to their friends, which cost them money. I love Ole Miss but damn if they don't try to suck you dry

I never got a parking ticket in my four years there.
I paid over 6 parking tickets in my four years there. They would always mysteriously be on my account.

What did they do other than stickers? Window hanging tags?

Yeah i'm pretty sure that's what they did last year. Makes no sense if you're trying to make money because all people are going to do is lend theirs to a friend.

The Department of Parking and Transportation would like to take this opportunity to apologize to the Ole Miss family for these very stressful and demanding past few days. In an effort to manage our parking demands on campus, we formulated a plan to change to a better and much more dynamic parking software system. The plan was good; however, the execution was not. The go-live date for all permits created a demand on the online registration system that at its peak was more than 500 hits a second. The system just could not handle that demand. Moving forward to next year, adjustments will be made. These adjustments will include more staggered registration times and groupings so that the system will not be overloaded. I am grateful for all those in the Ole Miss family on campus who aided our department in answering calls and stood with us during this time. Again, I realize that many faculty, staff, students and families were unfairly affected by this stressful situation, and I am deeply sorry that it happened.
Please feel free to contact our department at parking@olemiss.edu or by phone at (662) 915 - 7235.
My door is always open. Sincerely,
Mike Harris
Director of Parking and Transportation
