was just told that I-40 from Memphis to LR is one lane(assuming he actually means two) most of the way. They're building bridges and it has a delay for hours.
Take a long cut thats now a short cut by turning South at Brinkley to hwy 70 and go all the way to Carlysle before getting back on 40 and you will miss all of the crap. If you dont you need to literally add HOURs to the trip timewise.

This is the most thoughtful 1:45 AM post I think I've ever read
I'd be furious knowing I'd miss kickoff due to traffic. Good looking out pank.

I drove through little rock on the way to school in August and unless it has gotten worse it wasn't THAT bad. I was stuck for about 30 minutes, there's only like 5-10ish miles of it.

This was as of yesterday.
Also remember LR to Memphis has the largest commercial trucking traffic in the nation.

Because 75% of male Arkansas residents are truck drivers.
ETA: And 25% of the females

Actually I am in the logistics business and I am pretty sure it is the I-95 corridor outside the Savannah port complex. More containers land here than anywhere else on the east coast, including New York/New Jersey. Its insane.

fair enough.....I made the comment based on no actually data other than how many times I said "frick me how many fricking trucks are on this road" per mile.

That is cause Memphis is the Center of the states people going east to west etc.. Reason for a ton of tucking traffic..

FWIW I left Oxford at 3:45 today and got to North Little Rock at 7. it took me about an hour and 15 min to get from Oxford to crossing the river at Helena by going up to Sardis and taking hwy 315 to hwy 49. I then took 49 to I40 at Brinkley and rode the 50ish miles into LR. About 10-12 miles of 2 lane the rest is 4 lane.
