Personally, I like that you added James Meredith. I get the joke as you're obviously calling us racists (again) but the guy really is a horse's arse. He pretty much hates Mississippi and doesn't care that things have changed.

I mean, from his point of view, I wouldn't either. I guess in his mind, what was done was done, which is potentially narrow minded on his part.

Doesn't he still live in Mississippi, and didn't his son get a degree from Ole Miss?

No clue, I'm from Louisiana. I couldn't even tell you if Tupelo is north, south, east, or west.

He does and his son did but if you've ever read an interview or listened to him speak, he's really never given advancement its due credit. He's still fighting like it is 1962.

I can't say I wouldn't be the same. I don't know because I was never in his shoes.

My grandfather fought in WWII and spent time in occupied Japan, and hated the Japenese until the day he died in the late 90's.

Landmass, hold up a minute. I see James many afternoons at the library in North Jackson. ALWAYS wears the red script Ole Miss hat. We talk football for a few moments, or politics, and then he reads the Wall Street Journal and the NY Times.

He is a gentleman. You are welcome to visit with him. Usually 3 p.m.
