Jump on Vandy? No way i would take OM. I just can't believe Vandy is really as bad as they looked vs. Temple. Plus they always play us tough.

I thought Vandy wasn't as bad as they looked against Temple until I saw that Vandy only returned 6 on offense and 4 on defense from last season. They will try to run right at us and it just won't work. I don't doubt our ability to look like crap against anyone, but we pull away again and win by 3-4 TD's. Wouldn't be shocked if we were -23 by kickoff.

Vandy was 29/54yrds on rushes...54 yards...against Temple.

Temple beat them by 30. I hope to Freezus we're better than Temple.

College football doesn't work this way.
We are most determinately better than Temple but that doesn't mean that we will beat Vandy by more points. Quite frankly the actual spread of the game is not really that important to me. My hopes are:
1. Win;
2. No injuries;
3. Show improvement in running game;
4. Show improvement in qb decision making; and
5. Cover spread.
I would take 1-4 and a one point victory in hand right now.

Very glad to be wrong and very happy w/ win. I've been an OM fan too long to not worry about Vandy.

I'd say that we somehwhat accomplished all 5. #3 could be debateable. I think our OL even showed some improvement.

We had over 200 yards rushing... I think our net rushing yards ended up ~180 due to some QB sacks.

Yeah I was happy with our rushing game while watching and then perplexed when I looked at the stat line. Then I figured sacks took some yardage. Do they also affect our YPC? Would make sense why it was below 4 when it seemed like we ran well.
