Anybody had any luck yet? I went to Arkansas but didn't see a bear. I did see a good 8 point, about 16-17 inches wide, not very heavy though, at 17 yards. Had the shot but the guy we were hunting with is trying to grow his deer population, so decided not to shoot and instead wait for a bear. Had he been in Mississip, he was going down. I've only been once since I got home and have seen a couple does but too far to shoot.
Hopefully a couple of you have had better luck thus far..

I'm ready to get my first one of the year. I'm gonna try to go tomorrow afternoon and hopefully sat morning before making the trip to O-town

Yeah it dropped her. Actually nicked a lung and passed through. She wasn't but 12 yards or so and my top pin is set at 30. Just didn't compensate enough. She made the most god awful noise though. I had to put another one in her. Second shot pierced the heart. It all transpired in less than 30 seconds though.
Good luck I think I'm gonna try to do the same sat AM. You should swing by the OB and get in on the IST (in stand threads).
That board is probably my favorite on TD.

Awesome, i'll check it out. Actually in the stand now, damnit i'm ready for some colder weather. Mosquitoes are killing me. Literally, i think they've gotten a couple of pints out already 
I normally carry a thermacell with me on days like this but of course its out of power
I'll update if I kill anything this afternoon or tomo morning

I haven't been bow hunting yet and I swear this is the main reason... Mosquitoes , poison ivy and snakes ruin bow season and turkey season for me.
