Regardless of the recruiting disaster that is '17, i really like the new staff.

nor does it have some amazing advantage over Oxford in terms of academics or location.

Which means Clemson is an easier road to the NC, but the SEC West is a selling point to recruits, not a negative.

that new trophy is a selling point to recruits though

Yes it is.
Hopefully we can see one in the near future.

Not if we keep bending over and pulling down our pants instead of suing the crap out of the NCAA

Bjork is quick to fight trolls on twitter but he's handled the NCAA like a beta

Sirmon gone at state. Rumor is they are hiring Grantham from Louisville. Does this open things back up for crime dog to get Avery?

If he hasn't already enrolled, it should be any day now. So I would think it's too late

Is he good or bad?

Grantham is an a-hole. I dislike him intensely.
Posted on 1/11/17 at 1:21 pm to umrebel96
I'm sure he's fine with his defensive coordinator leaving prior to his first day of classes.

UGA fans wanted him gone in a big way when he left for Louisville. Not sure if it was a firing or not. Very strange trading DC's this late. I think Grantham and Petrino were just too big assholes at the same school; he should get along w/ Mullen fine if he can handle getting out from under the bus when his D gives up more points than Dan's squad can score.

If we somehow find a way to land Johnston and Sanogo, that would be as good as could expected for LBs imo, which is what was most needed. Even if the class overall is blah
Posted on 1/11/17 at 3:59 pm to umrebel96
We need to reload on every position on the defense. We also need more O-line and RBs
Posted on 1/11/17 at 4:46 pm to rebelcommodore
The problem with Mullen is that he's kind of an a-hole as well. Grantham is a decent hire, but I'm not too worried about him/them right now.

If only the NCAA would tweet at Bjork

With LB being one of our biggest position of need, not only in talent but depth how is an in state guy like Freddie Hartz committed to southern? Or a Texas kid like Javaris Steward committed to Texas San Antonio. Am I wrong in thinking we should be hard after these kids? Load up on the weakest position since no one knows what kind of scholarship restrictions we will have in the near future.

The guys you listed don't help us at all next season. Also if we go after those guys we'll wind up looking like last season with a bunch of Taylor Polks on the field. The kid is giVing his all, he just isn't a SEC caliber LB.
So loading up on sub part talent doesn't really help.

You say they are subpar talent. 247 has Steward ranked ahead of Clarke who all of us like and Johnston who we are hard after and many people want us to get.
