Akers's post game interview last night was quite nice. Very impressive young man who acted quite humble and very gracious. If we don't get him, it will be a shame. If we do, I hope we maintain a competent offensive line to open holes because he can flat go. Not so sure he wouldn't be a great QB at the next level if that were in the cards.

If we get Akers we wont even need a second qb in this class.

He would be the perfect RB for the class because of his ability to play Qb at a high level. 17 qbs see Shea and shy away. so Cam could be our 3rd string Qb next year.

One thing for certain is he is the best MS player in my lifetime, and we cant let him slip away.

He's too good for us. He is not coming to Ole Miss.

Dan Mullen has built entire football empires on playing running backs at quarterback.

If he wants to have a long NFL career he won't go to OSU. He'll sit behind other backs (2 FR, 1rFR, 2 SO) and then get beat up when he does become the starter by getting 25+ rushes per game compared to 15 or so here in our offense. With that he'll still get the stats AND play right away. Those hits add up over time.
I'm not saying we're getting him, but I don't think it's Ohio State and everyone else lagging behind.

No he hasn't. Mullen has made a career out of mobile QBs who are good for his system. Akers is 5'11" with a arm that a RB would have. Not a D1 qb arm. The fact you guys are even half way serious is laughable.

No matter if he goes to OSU, LSU, FSU, or OM, I don't think he is concerned about getting on the field. He knows he is good and isn't afraid of competition.

If he were to sign today, he'd be a Reb and the "closest" person to him in his inner circle is all Rebs.

He won the state title the night before ... He's going to the MS/AL Allstar game all this week... I don't blame him for not coming ... Cam has been to OM at least dozen times since this time last year.

Not saying he's ours ... Just that Cam has seen all he needs to see in Oxford.

Plus with the inquisition on-going it's hard to give him a legit Oxford experience. Next best thing is the Taco King picking him up in a G-5 at Mary Hawkins and a quick trip to Ibiza.....not quite Oxford due to lack of "talent" & quality drugs, but close enough.
