Freeze should dump his bank account into Willie's back yard.

The worst are the people on Spirit that are irate we didn't take the 2* from their hometown and instead took a 4* from out of state. This year it was Henderson from Panola and last year it was the boys from Grenada.

The LB (think it was Sharef White) who went on to Memphis, got a ton of playing time as a freshman, seemed like he was in on every play against Ole Miss this year.

That Memphis coach has an eye for talent.... If Freeze left I wouldn't mind giving him a shot.

I really wanted genard avery

Avery & White were team-mates right? Which one got all the playing time at Memphis last year?
Posted on 2/12/15 at 9:47 am to WithaRebelYell
He and Chad Morris are the two coaches I want LSU to realistically hire when Les leaves, which is going to happen in 3-5 seasons. of course that's unless someone like Gary Patterson out of left field is willing to leave

Avery got the playing time. Looks like all he did was blitz too.
13 total tackles on the season, but 5 sacks. He had 3 total tackles against us.

Yeah I would wanna see what Morris does at SMU before I would hire him.

Absolutely but how do you think he feels about pirates? Still kills me a portion of our fan base is still pissed about not hiring Leach.

Hey I wanted to hire Leach until I saw Freezes first press conference, I was on board after that. It still gives me goose bumps.

We lost one offensive lineman to graduation this year.
Chase Hughes.
Getting Patterson alone was a plus, and in two quality future linemen, that actually fit our need for length and it's not a bad year for recruiting linemen.
Add to that, another center who is coming in from JUCO with Machine Gun Kelly.
But next year we will lose Tunsil, A. Morris, Justin Bell, Fahn Cooper, Ben Still and Craig Frigo.
So we need to bring in 5 OL with an average of 4 stars to offset that hit we will take. All of these guys, barring injury, will be major contributors to the the team this coming season, with the exception of Frigo.
While Tunsil is the talent, the rest have been serviceable. But this opens up a huge experience void, that will need to be addressed with recruiting.
Offensive line is a must have in 2016.
Cause 2016 will probably look like this:
LT-Christian Morris
LG-Rod Taylor
C- Conyers, Rawlings or Feely
RG-Patterson
RT-Johnson, Conyers or Putnam
Of course, all of these guys should get serious playing time this season and are not lacking in the way of talent. They also could be a bit more athletic. They won't be freshmen, unless another Tunsil comes along.
I would love to see 3-5 star talents along with 2-4 star talents in the future.
If you have the number 1 QB recruit, you have to be able to recruit linemen. If you don't, then a change has to be made. And you run the risk of losing the number 1 QB to a better group of blockers.

I can't remember correctly but I believe Shareef White was a take until he had all those concussions. I think he had to actively seek out a doctor willing to clear him.
