there should be a rule that allows that though.

Carter went to LSU today. Coach O and Collis Temple are going for in home tomorrow trying to get him back on campus this weekend. Temple has a lot of clout in the Kentwood area.

Apparently Carter has two kids and is having second thoughts about moving off. Carter's recruitment has huge implications for his team mate, Devonta Smith, too. Smith will probably be a 5* WR next year.
I'll probably piss my pants if LSU goes 10/10 for the top 10 LA players this class. As fricked up as Miles' nepotism in hiring assistants is I have to give him credit for recruiting.
And yes, Jimmy Smith is well connected, so if he thinks LSU will get Carter there's smoke

Is lsu recruiting any other positions besides corner and receiver? Props to them if they get carter with all the other cornerbacks they have but damn, that's a lot of scholarships committed to just those positions.

I think LSU wants him at safety. Fulton is the last corner they want, but LSU thinks Carter can play multiple different positions. I didn't realize he was that athletic because I didn't get my hopes up about LSU getting him 
While I get your point, the class is pretty balanced. It'd be a perfect class if they could sign one more LB and a promising quarterback.
eta: LSU wouldn't have taken 4 receivers unless 4 guys as talented as Davis, Sullivan, Anderson, and Coxie wanted on board. Honestly I've never seen a taller, more athletic receiving class. I get the NFL pipeline angle, but I'm still amazed at how LSU does it. Also Saivion Smith could be a safety for LSU and keep Carter at corner

Yeah I see your point. And I agree, that receiving class y'all are bringing in is insanely athletic. I'm really surprised y'all are not getting a qb transfer. With the talent y'all have next year and what is being brought in, a good qb would make y'all impossible to beat. Hope we manage to get carter out of Louisiana cause I do think we need him a lot more than lsu does. We need an elite corner

I never heard he hated LSU, but there was all this controversy about him having some sort of mentor who always showed up at LSU in Alabama gear or something like that.

the consensus i was told on the recruting board was that a lot of people were mad that Shyheim was on a visit at LSU and rooting for Alabama and recruiting for them and generally was just there for the free game.
Things change obviously but a lot of LSU Rantards were adamant that he was not coming to LSU and they didnt want him .
