You think he barely beat him out or the coaches just acted like it was close to keep Brunetti and make sure Bo worked hard?

Bo was still in a QB competition his 2nd spring here. I think it was locked down after that though.

GERMANS

Real Talk: This has to put us in even better position for Anderson. Perhaps this is why he had 3 or so CBs to us yesterday.

I seriously doubt he would "easily win" the job and might not win it at all. If we had both, Freeze could yank the starter when he started shouting at opposing fans (LSU game last year) and run the read option more knowing you have a backup.

WTF is up with Eiland to State....We need some OT's like ricky-tick!

Mathews, Na'Ty, Eltise, Allen and Little...any 2 or 3 of those will do!

Just watched his HUDL. he made the defenders look flat footed. And that's supposed to be the highest level of high school football in the country

Love the Pennamon commitment. Big dude who can really boogie. Something we haven't had at Ole Miss in a long time, though Brandon Bolden was pretty fast.

Well, its July. I have to guess/hope we backed off Eiland for something better. Strange though since we have so many spots. I would be happy if I'm a state fan though. Put those guys in the stable and hope they develop by rs jr year.

We do not lack tackles...we have plenty... We lack elite tackles. It's the same argument people have with going with the big back. We would love a big back, but the only ones that can run our offense are elite and they are hard to get. We could sign 10 6'7 tackles and 10 240lbs running backs if we wanted but first off it wouldn't be efficient recruiting, and two, we go after the best available players at the needed positions. We rank each player by position and get the best one. What good is a Greg eiland if you land one player out of Matthews, Little, and Allen when we are obviously bringing in at least one juco. Next year we will have at a minimum two true freshmen tackles, a RS freshman tackle, a RS sophomore tackle, a RS junior tackle, a senior tackle and at least one juco tackle. In the next recruiting class, once again, we will be going after two elite tackles, two elite guards, and best available fifth OL. What happens when we start landing that drew Richmond every year? We are a recruiting power, which means we recruit starters, not depth.

Last year we signed Givens and Howard. Before that Cooper (gone soon), Putman, and Rawlings. I wouldn't call us a a "recruiting power" based on that. Who starts for us at OT in '16?

Most likely Rawlings at RT and either a new JUCO guy or a blue chip true freshman at LT. If we whiff on our OTs this recruiting class, God help us.

I didnt even include Howard and Putman even though I believe Howard can be special if he can grow.

In 2016 it will come down to who is the best tackle between Christian Morris, Liggins, Rawlings, a Juco, and hopefully Greg Little. My guess is Rawlings and Morris. Christian isnt there yet but I have a feeling he turns the corner next spring.

In 2017, we will start the same tackles as 16' unless one was Liggins.

In 2018 Rawlings will be a RS Senior, Givens and Howard will be RS junior, and Defoor will be a RS Sophomore. This is where our coaches are evaluating kids to play. If you are lower on our board than Defoor, you do not have a committable offer because what would be the point. If you arent even on the second team by your third year in the program then what good are you?

I thought someone said Defoor was a center or guard. And, i am extremely nervous about counting on Liggins (or Morris for that matter) turning into an SEC tackle. I think both Howard and Givens could be very good given time (2017).

You guys are sleeping on C. Morris. He was a top 10 OT coming out of HS. I think we will see him improve and get quality reps this year to give Laremy a breath from time to time.

I'd put my money on him being the starting LT in 2016 unless we get a Greg Little type talent.

Or two Jucos

Does anyone think we have a legitimate shot at landing Little? All of the articles I read aren't even including us in his top 3. Do we have a 20 percent chance?
