Devin White (could play LB also)

I know the dude is a beast LB so whats the deal with everyone talking him up as a RB? Is he just that much of a playmaker at that position? I'd rather have him playing LB for us. We don't really have an elite player at LB that I can think of but that position always racks up tackles. Imagine what a healthy Shackleford or similar could do...

I think Pennamon could play Stinger/Huskie as well.

Pretty solid list. I would add/remove:

WR
- Donnie Corley
- Tre Nixon

OL
- Michael Eletise

DL
- Michael Williams
- Michael Perry (Remove – not a take at the moment)

DB
- Shyheim Carter
- Brandon Jones

I am torn about him. He is an athlete and I think he should probably be listed as such. The issue is two fold. First he was consistently listed at 6'1 until the opening where he measured in just shy of 6'0. If his ultimate goal is to make the NFL there haven't been many 5'11.5 MLBs since Samurai Mike Singletary. Second question is regarding his lateral quickness (or lack there of) which was brought to light at the Opening. I personally think that at 258 lbs, which I believed he weighed at the Opening, it is impacting him negatively. So is it in his best interest to drop down to 235-240 lbs and play RB with the hopes his lateral quickness increases and increase his chances at the NFL? Not sure, what are y'all's thoughts?

I'm not saying he is going to be an elite player, but I think Shawn Curtis is a sleeper and will be very special.

I think his best chance to have success in the NFL is to play MLB, especially with the longevity and draft pick history differences at those two positions. 5’11.5 height isn’t too big of an issue and his best weight is probably around 235-245. Several NFL MLBs are at or below 6’00 (Stephen Tulloch, D’Qwell Jackson, Jerrell Freeman, NaVorro Bowman).

Agreed.

You also won't find too many 260 lb RB's in the league either.

Zach Thomas was one of the best MLBs of all time at 5'11

He has explicitly said that he wants to be a RB and if you are recruiting him as a lb then you are off the list.

gotcha. I heard something about that but didn't know how dedicated he was to playing RB.

David and Paul Jones both cb'ed Greg Eiland to MSU yesterday and today. Are we backing off or losing a position of need? We need at least two tackles.

David said a while ago that we were probably done with in state linemen unless someone really emerged.

that's fine by me if we land something better.

Also, hope we are feeling good w/ Allen and Little.

Any way we can get a smiling Freezus over Sepp's face? Or Freeze's face over the comedian's and a five-star croot's face over Sepp's?

Quick question say we had a different quarterback the last three years we won the same games and have the same roster we do now. Only difference is we signed Bo Wallace and Chad Kelly in the 2015 class. Would Bo easily win the job or could any of the other quarterbacks beat him out of the starting job?

Bo barely beat out Brunetti his first year, so I doubt he would run away with it

You think he barely beat him out or the coaches just acted like it was close to keep Brunetti and make sure Bo worked hard?
