This just shows our OT recruiting/development/retention has been a weak spot in our otherwise stellar recruiting:

Na'Ty = not even committed and has some weird stuff in his background w/ USC.
Conyers = serviceable center hopefully.
Rawlings = recruited as center w/ offers from OM and State and that's really it.
Liggins = converted qb doesn't look like he knows what the hell he is doing at OT.
Morris = history of injury at UCLA, history of injury at OM may never be an SEC OT.
Givens = would be rs freshman in '16. Good luck becoming a starting SEC tackle that early. I really like his potential and fit for our scheme though. Already enrolled. Great offer list.
Michael Howard = see Alex Givens review above.

Again, I love the Givens and Howard gets last year. However, it is clear that we needed to be bringing in exactly this type of highschool player earlier. Both three star guys w/ tons of offers in the top 100 at the tackle position. Its rare to see guys like Tunsil play so early and they usually are in the top 10 at their position when it happens.

It's been the weakest unit across the board for sure.

Agreed.

And I just don't see how Liggins will ever play OT. He isn't very long. He may not be mean enough or whatever other qualities you are supposed to have on the inside but I would think he is built better for OG or C where he could use his athleticism pulling

Exactly. Apparently, I got some of the figures wrong.

Na'Ty will be on campus today.

Saw football camp signs near the IPF. People are illegally parking all over campus.

Who else is coming? Positions and star rating?

Is Will Lawrence really that good? His offer list is out of control!

In 2013 Ole Miss recruited a tight end from Harding Academy named Mack Weaver. He ended up signing with Vanderbilt, but according to SouthMSReb, the recruitment alone created a pipeline between Ole Miss and Harding.

I meant that getting Crowell would help to establish a pipeline. Instead of keep it going. My mistake.

I did not however state that recruiting a kid means we have a pipeline. So link that pls

In the Freeze era we have got Laremy Tunsil, Christian Morris, Austin Golson. Those three were top 10 OTs in their class. (Depending on the site you look at)Conyers was a 3 star that has turned into a serviceable utility guy. We signed two #1 guards in the country in Patterson and Taylor. We have one of the better centers committed in this current class and lead for two of the top JUCO OT, and in the game with two of the top OT coming out of HS.(Little and Allen)

I'm not sure how recruiting OT has sucked. Everyone is after the elite OL. We are winning those battles. Richmond is the only guy we missed on.
