If we get Chad Kelly, and if he ends up starting, seven of the past eight Rebel QBs to start a game have transferred in.
Count em: (1) Wallace; (2) Mackey; (3) Stoudt; (4) Masoli; (5) Snead; (6) Adams; (7) Schaeffer.
The only non-transfer QB we've had since 2006 was Nathan Stanley.
I hope Fratcannon or Switchblade pans out.

That's sad. We have yet to have a non-transfer starting QB since Eli. Stanley doesn't count since he never truly started.

Just win games
We have a coach that actually knows what to do with a transfer.
Spurlock was our last real starter that wasn't a transfer...yayyy

Although, Mackey is like half a transfer. We recruited for over two years in high school, placed him in the JUCO we wanted him in, and never swayed from re-signing nor did he ever sway from re-signing with us.

Dude has had a legitimate season in the AFL if there is such a thing

Since we are going there does Wallace count?
Signed to play for Freeze at ASU, spent one year at Juco after a RS year with HF.

It's tough getting a good QB outta HS in Mississippi when most coaches still run 1960's offenses. Seriously, who was the last D1 level QB to come out of a MS HS? Tyler Russel doesn't count because he fricking sucked. Jason Campbell is the last solid MS QB that comes to mind.

Why does it matter if we don't develpp QB's? I'll be happy if we get a transfer every 2 years and go 9-3 or better. It doesn't matter who plays, just win the games. I have never understood what the big deal was about transfer qb's and why people are against them.

Clayton Moore? Dylan Favre? The guy who went to LSU and then transferred to OM to be a student?

In the right system Omarr Conner would've been pretty good.
The correct answer to the question is Austin Davis. Again, Ole Miss and MSU miss out on the big in-state QB.

Davis went to USM for baseball.

Would Davis had been a good QB if he wasn't chunking the rock all over C-USA playas?
