My only question is why was Johnson so confident on Adams?

What do you mean? He was never confident in any opinion before?

If you Crystal Ball a recruit it means you are pretty confident that they will be part of their class.

I dont have a source and I have no idea what Adams is going to do but why do people continue to put so much stock into these Crystal Ball projections ?! I stay out of the recruiting game til November for the most part (other than letting 5 stars do yalla yalla off my wife's chest in The Library bathroom on game weekends) but last December every single 247 insider had CJ Hampton CBed to Bama... Seriously, every single one of them.

So are you asking why is he confident now or are you saying he had CB'd him to OM before? I thought it showed up if you switched your CB and his only shows state but of course I could be mistaken.

I thought he CBd him right after his first visit, like a while back. Not positive though, of course.

I usually agree with everything you said, but it is different when one of the two schools he's choosing from, the one who he has said multiple times lead, has their main staffer CB him to the other school hours after the kid says he is planning on committing soon. DJ CB kids to OM when in my estimation there is a 40% chance of committing and then CB kids, we want, to State when there is a 65% cofindence they go there so there is some weight when he picks kids we want to go to State.

For instance two national guys CB'd Fletch to us today, one being the most respected on 247 and no one cares because as you said CB don't mean shite. DJ picking against us is a CB to pay attention to.

What do you think about the surplus of highly rated Guards and the lack of highly rated tackles we have been recruiting. It seems lately the only Offensive lineman that are highly rated we have a chance with are OG. Why do you think that is or am I just pessimistic?

OG- Rod Taylor, Garrett Thomas, Javious Bardney, and Javon Patterson.

OT- Only really good one I could see us landing is Drew Richmond.

Patterson is a tackle too. Don't forget we were in it for Dan Skipper(starter at Arkansas) and signed Davion Johnson in 2013. In 2014 we got Cooper, Rawlings(probably gets moved inside) and Putman(like Johnson project). If we get Richmond and Patterson our tackle issues are well taken care of.

There's a reason tackles are paid the most in the NFL; they're at a premium because you have to be so athletic.

Players like Patterson and Taylor can play RT if need be. Their footwork is good enough, but their height, which is a good measurement of a tackles number two attribute, wingspan, is not what you look for, so they are labeled guards. Someone who may surprise you as a possible RT is Jordan Sims. That kid's feet are as good as most elite tackles, and moves incredibly well for his size, but as we know his size is way too big. If he could lose 50lbs, he could also play tackle. None of the three mentioned are your prototypical tackles. It's not like we aren't trying to recruit elite tackle and only trying guards. We are just going after the best OL we can possibly get. The best OL in the state for 2013-2016 class just happens to be guards. If they were all tackles then the imbalance would be in reverse. Everyone wants tackles so it's hard to go and get an elite one that isn't in our area (MS-TN) that we don't have ties to.
