He said he didn't want to say. He said he was going to release a top 5 soon and that we were for sure in his top 3

LB Demarquis Gates (Lovejoy) - Gates is committed to Ole Miss, but he comes from a family full of UGA fans. The 6-foot-2, 220 pounder lives with his uncle, Leon Dillard, who played defensive back for the Bulldogs in the early 1990's, and those close to him say Georgia is probably the only school that could pry him away from the Rebels. When Gates was in Athens for a junior day in February, the coaches told him that they wanted to see him in person. Now that he is committed, he could decide to not worry about camping in Athens. If he does decide to work out at either of the two camps coming up, Gates has the frame and the athleticism to have a strong showing and earn an offer.

I'll be genuinely surprised if we hold onto him.

Nick Watkins will be down here for camp and he is a stud CB from Texas

Andrew Williams won't make it because of the ACT instead he is visiting Clemson on Friday because it's close and will visit later this summer

I definitely think that's a good sign for OM.

I actually work with Ty Barrett mom.

He is the big OL from Dallas Skyline.

It was funny because she mentioned my son is a big OL with like 20 offers. (I had no idea what her last name was or who she was) She said he is looking really hard at Ole Miss. I said does he play at Dallas Skyline? She looked at me in amazement.

We actually talked for a while about Ole Miss. Kincade has a very big influence on him and basically lived with them. She said they will definitely visit. I don't know what his top 3 are but her top 3 are Oklahoma, Ole Miss, and Texas Tech.(with TCU as a fourth school)

I think Freeze and company will definitely pull this kid.

It's a small world.

I expect you to do some recruiting for the Rebs.

Most definitely. I think the connections will get him there. His mom is also close to Quincy Adebyejo as well.

She had nothing but good things to say about Ole Miss. She wants him to get the process over soon. She doesn't want it to go into next year but wants him to enjoy the recruiting process though.

It sounds like we're in a good position with him and his mom.

He has a solid offer list.

Rivals released their updated top 20 players in the state of MS... Here's their top 6:

1. Rod Taylor
2. DK Buford
3. Devin Voorhies
4. CJ Hampton
5. Breeland Speaks
6. Markell Pack

It's June so obviously these rankings will change some during football season... It's nice to think that we have a really legit shot at getting 5 of 6.

As long as we win at least 7 games I like our chances with 5 of the 6.

So Gates hurt his ACL, not too bad but won't be camping anywhere this summer. Sucks for him, but its honestly a blessing in disguise for us
