Those people are for entertainment only. They get scoop but when they start saying we have 4 spots I laugh. We will take the best available no matter. Watch who visits guys. The OV list is always the way to tell who is on the hotlist. Even then sometimes they slip under the radar. Very seldom does anyone sign who didn't OV.

ETA: Epps is considered a lock.

Guess he didn't want the greyshirt. Can't blame him. Best of luck to him.

Exactly. I hope we don't end up regretting letting him get away but I wish him the best and hope he succeeds.

Sawyer- didn't play much
Ritter- mediocre at best
Campbell- same here
Marry- filled the middle- but was not a play maker
Pierce Burton- did he jump off sides again
Evan Swindall- might be the biggest loss offensively
Jam-es Logan- I like Vincent better in the slot
Jeff Scott- didn't play the last 5 games
Cameron Whigham - not talented, played with a lot of heart.
Prewitt- ?? hope he stays we need him on defense
Moncrief- didn't show up in big games, Bo spent too much time forcing the ball to him. I hope he has a great NFL career.

These are the holes to fill next season. Hopefully Prewitt isn't one of them. There are a few more senior contributors that will be missed, but plenty of talent to fill those shoes.

Does Donte leaving give us a better shot at Dupree?

We aren't getting Dupre. Zero chance.

The lineman are who I'm most concerned with replacing but I'm confident that Taylor will contribute and if another of the RSFr or Christian Morris step up they can be servicable. Certainly more so than who we this year.

I disagree with most of this.
Sawyer at one point was all we had in the secondary. Guy played hard at Ole Miss.
Ritter won the LSU game, he just had a bad last game. Took a RS his senior year for this program. Glad to have had him at Ole Miss.
Campbell was a great distance punter, not as great at pinning teams. But he also took a RS his senior year to help the team out.
Marry ALWAY made plays. He wasn't the fastest but he always made plays.
Pierce Burton- no way we win 6 games last year without him. He was one of the rare JUCO guys who actually provided the role we needed and wasn't a complete bust.
Evan Swindall-you were right about that
J Logan- was the most versatile WR on the team. Could play every position in the WR corp.
Jeff Scott-never liked him, glad he gone.
Cameron Whigham-I agree
Prewitt- I agree
Moncrief-we had a QB who couldn't throw the ball more than 30 yards. There were times Moncrief had the DB beat and the QB just couldn't get it to him. How many times this year did we see Moncrief or any WR for that matter have to run under a ball? None. It just never happened. Bo arm just wasn't there. In the LSU game he had 5 catches for 107 yards. He had 6 for 60 against Bama, 6 for 115 against Mizz. He showed up. He had drops but the entire WR core did at times. Hate to lose him.

Scooba here he comes.

Another point from your earlier post is that while Bo's arm strength certainly hindered his ability, both Logan and Donte had many missed opportunities to make plays and just didn't. Also our line was sub-par in more than a few games too. Basically our offense let us down which is wacky to think

Taylor not qualifying is just the first of the dominoes to fall. Our Class Is Falling Apart.

I agree for the most part. It's weird as an Ole Miss fan to say our defense kept us in ballgames and our offense lost them. But that's exactly what happened several times this year

BUT

Logan- many missed opportunities ? Um No.. He dropped one pass against A&M that pretty much lost the game but can you remember him ever dropping another pass? I can't. He was huge for us on 3rd down these last 2 years.. He always came up with a big catch.

IMO Logan, Swindall, and Marry will be sorely missed next year.

I agree. This senior class wasn't extremely talented but they are definitely the building block to the future.

That being said, I'm glad to start getting some of those older Houston Nutt guys out of our system. A large part of the guys who didn't "completely buy in" were from those guys.
