Nick Marshall is showing exactly why we need that type of QB in our offense
I think he is now showing us what happens when you have a QB who cant throw...

Bama just lost to their instate rival. Their recruiting class is going to fall apart.

Saban now free to go to TX. Let Smart coach the plan-B bowl.

I hope Ole Miss recruiting isn't as dead as this thread.

Didn't you see the Egg Bowl ?!? State gettin Errybody now... We gettin nerbody.

They might actually keep Green now. Between the knee and the abortion of an egg bowl we may just give up.

If nothing else we can still sell the immediate playing time card pretty much everywhere but RB, WR, and QB. We have to get immediate help at MLB and CB in this class. Next year has too much potential not too.

A elite RB or CB would see the field. Now the CB might not start with all that we have returning but they would definitely play. RB by God we need for Wilkins to be a beast. Hopefully we keep Judd or get another big back. Anyone that can get two to three yards. We need a FEATURE BACK. We don't have that yet.
Brandon Bolden was probably the last feature back we've had.
I'm more concerned about the OL. I hope we can flip a few guys. We need more big guys up front on the OL. A string of injuries on the OL next year could turn ugly. Hopefully we can have one of those lucky years where no one gets hurt at that position.

I understand the need for a big back but I think the problem is more on the inside of the Oline. We saw Thursday that you can have a 300 LB RB and get stuffed if you can't block up front. Mathers/Wilkens can fall forward on short yardage, but our O line has to give him a chance.

Losing Gennessy hurt badly

Yep. Hopefully Taylor is everything we need him to be and Morris gets back to where he was.

and C. Morris gets his waiver

I'm never going to understand how we don't dominate the MS JUCO system. Look at the talent that's going to all of our west opponents.

Every OM scout after watching Taylor play has raved about him, but has also said they dont expect him to be ready to start by September so we dont need to expect that Rod will Tunsil it out there. I have faith in Aaron though. The kid had a surgery and got fat afterwards. In doing so he injured himself again. This time after surgery he loses 25lbs so far. He's apparently focused on getting back better than ever. I also have faith that between Bell, Golson, Conyers, and Still we can find a solid center. All three are smart, tough, and have experience in the program. Center is a huge position replacement and Im not taking that likely, but I just cant help but expect we will be fine there with what we have.
Im worried we are going to have to move Aaron out to RT and we will essentially have the exact same problem next year as we do this year in a weak, un experienced interior OL.
We are going to need some surprises to emerge for us to improve next year at the OL. Maybe Bouldin is ready. Maybe Golson or Conyers becomes an all sec center. Maybe Aaron becomes the dominate NFL caliber player we know he can be. Too many maybes to feel good about it though.

Well EMCC's O-line coach is a former State player. Not accusing anyone, but it is what it is.

The reason the MS JUCO system is so good is because kid's that dont get in the big programs like Bama, Florida, LSU etc are sent to East, MSGCCC, Holmes etc. They arent MS kids mostly and already have alliances with other programs. It like the people that got upset when that kid from Moss Point that committed to UK. That kid just moved to MS (just like Jucos) and lived there for only a couple years.
Edit: I hate a juco anyway. We may hurt next year because we lost Gennesy but someone else will develop more because of it. That someone will be in our program longer. What juco players really made a big impact for us in the past?

I know all that. Still not getting any of that talent is bad regardless.
