So what was the deal with Barrett?

Yancy and Ben haven't flat out said it but something happened within 36 hours of him committing that changed. Before then he was locked up. The read between the lines logic or spin is Barrett is going to be a good one, but down the road. He's a RS type of guy. We just moved Conyers to center which I think is a great move but that leaves a huge gap in depth at tackle for next season. We have two total tackles next season so we need someone to come in a be ready to go day one. Unless we can find someone like that in the HS ranks we will more than likely be going after a JUCO OT

I just saw the spin machine was in full effect and was not sure what their super secret information was and knew someone here would know.

The logic matches the spin at least. Conyers got moved to center a few days ago and then that when everything changed

I think it came down to staying close to home as well as his mom really liked TCU.

fentang said Georgia is his new leader

Jordan sims is all Alabama if they offer he has lost like 20-30 pounds over the summer because that is what the Alabama coaching staff told him to do. he is around 330 now and an absolute beast. if Alabama flips the Iowa guard I don't think they will have room for sims which leaves us and auburn.

ETA: and with the miss on Barrett are we going after that JUCO tackle that MSU thinks they are going to get

That would be my guess. We want the Blair kid more but Im not sure we can beat out Auburn for him. My guess is we will try Blair then go after Gennesy, but there could be someone else out there that I don't know of

Conyers worked at right tackle a significant amount of today's practice per CL.

Yancy breaking some big time twitter news:

Jesse Johnson
@jesse081990
Student at The University of Southern Mississippi. SMTTT! Everybody needs a little black & gold in their life!
Hattiesburg,MS

Looks like he's confusing Jesse Jackson with random Southern students.
