I'm just laughing that he seems to forget that MSU will have injuries as well but you don't hear about them because Merlin's is a little bitch when it comes to the media.

Actually you would hear about the injury. After the player got injured he would see a doctor, get x-rays, mri's, etc and maybe even a second opinion. After everything was confirmed, Mullen would tell the media. There would be no rumors and speculation. You just hear the news and move on a deal with it. That's just a terrible way to handle things in your eyes, I guess, but I like it.

I'm hearing he's thinking about staying out of school completely this semester and working on getting his ACT score up. That way his eligibility clock doesn't start till next spring.

That's the only rumor I've heard

we don't need him at QB anymore.

Does he know this? I thought that is why he went to LSU to supposedly get a chance to play QB, and Gulf Coast was going to let him play QB.

I'm sorry. I completely misunderstood Merlin's when he went into hissy-fit mode saying....and I quote..."You know the policy. I don't talk about injuries."

My bad....silly me.

Merlin's is a whiny bitch. The end.

Now back to our potential new overweight walk-on.

I heard Liggins was over 300 at the moment. Someone needs to introduce him to Jenny Craig.

Our two qb commits > Liggins, so we really don't care what he thinks.

That's no different than this recent injury news. The reason it blew up today was because Freeze told the media at practice and confirmed the details post x-rays, MRIs, etc.

What we're talking about his Dan Mullen's "policy" he directs at reporters regarding the discussion of injuries. Heaven forbid a reporter ask a question and then badger someone for deliberately not answering it.

Well I shouldn't have said, "Mullen would tell them."

A team spokesperson would tell them or something. Doesn't change my point. I actually appreciate the way Mullen handles that and I know his players do.

What is so hard to understand about that? Mullen doesn't talk injuries. Pretty cut and dry.

It's not necessarily the policy, but his indignant response to Marcello's question. Marcello was doing his damn job. He's not Gene or Steve or any of those dipshits - he's an actual journalist. Getting all shitty because he asked a question and then expecting to control the narrative with him as if Marcello were some malleable Scout.com dipshit was where Merlins went wrong.

I don't think anyone has a problem with it. It's just the way he reacted to the question.

So whats the difference between Merlins telling the media(after confirmation, of course) or a team spokesman? Is Merlins not considered a team spokesman?

By throwing a hissy-fit and almost running over media trying to get out of the room after realizing he just got "lawyer-d" into answering a question he didn't want to and only to sit back down and sulk?

gotcha.
