He called the plays himself a handful of games and it usually worked out better than normal.

What does it matter what his title was at Ole Miss anyway? Why are people trying to make a big deal out of that.
What it comes down to is this: he's been successful everywhere he has been. Will that translate into success in the SEC? Who knows, but the fact remains that Hugh Freeze isn't some clueless yokel when it comes to football. State fans are trying to portray him as one (HAHAHA LOL GURLZ BBALL CAOCH!) but the facts remain that he has demonstrated significant ability as a recruiter, playcaller, and game manager. His resume is very, very short, but it doesn't have a blemish.

TE Evan Engram commits. 6-3 210 from GA
Definitely a smaller receiving TE but could be good in Freeze's system. Had offers from Wake Forest, GATech, and UCLA

I don't think he ever got a ucla offer but they sure liked him at camp last week. He won't do much for blocking but he should fit well in freezes offense. Solid pick up by the frozen one. Seems like a good kid too.

Well since they anchored my thread I'm not gonna worry about editing.

They certainly are high on him. They say is a perfect fit for their flex position which is kind of a TE/WR/HB hybrid. This type of commitment it the kind that interest me. You can really evaluate a coach's eye for talent and not just pure talent but talent that fits the system. This guy isn't some guy to fill a need in our coaches eyes. Conyers and Burkette were the two I want to keep an eye on in last years class. This guy is one of those "diamonds" that Freeze is going to need to have a good eye for because we aren't going to he able to grab 10 Channing Wards in every class

Whats the deal with Devante Kincade? I thought we were not going to take another QB this class but it sounds like we are in the lead for him and he's set to commit soon.

IIRC, he's someone we're looking at as an ATH and not a QB.

The only Flipping he is going to do Is over CJ Johnson into the end zone next year.

Kincade is an Elite 11 QB with a ton of offers to play QB. I highly doubt he isn't looking to play QB in college. Last I heard Nebraska led for him.

This morning he said that the Ole Miss coaches have been talking to him the most and he's made a real connection with them.
